6/21/2010 4:02:50 PM
as long as somehow there isnt a payment or some promise of future payment hed still be an amateur...in theory, in reality that would be impossible to prove and honestly not a risk either party should takeunless Wilson is willing to roll those dice cuz he doesnt give a shit about playing for NCSUwhich i would understand[Edited on June 21, 2010 at 4:07 PM. perhaps if you are still considered amateur at a different sport (football) than the one you have a contract/agreed to terms with (baseball), then you are still eligible
6/21/2010 4:08:46 PM
dweedle is rightBHS, I don't know what the fuck he's trying to say
6/21/2010 4:09:33 PM
im not so sure that is truebut then again, tommy from notre dame boxed while he played football, i dont know if he got paid though officiallyi understood the rules to be that if you got paid for anything you cant play amateur sports
6/21/2010 4:25:21 PM
i guess you dont really follow ncsu sports huh Master_Yoda
6/21/2010 4:26:39 PM
6/21/2010 4:28:32 PM
maybe, i always say its better to be safeso thats how i took the rule
6/21/2010 4:31:07 PM
there have been several (i.e. more than 1 or 2) college quarterbacks who have gone pro in baseball (or something else) and still come back to play another season of college football. i read as much in the first article they put out about RW getting drafted a few weeks ago.]
6/21/2010 4:31:09 PM
^hell, Chris Weinke played pro baseball for a couple years and then came BACK to play football
6/21/2010 4:33:59 PM
well more power to em thats wassuphe wont realize his fullest potential tho but at least he can get some cheese
6/21/2010 4:34:08 PM
he is not going to make that much playing in the minorsmine as well play football too
6/21/2010 4:35:08 PM
Also, Shinskie from BCDo you think Wilson didn't maybe look into this before signing
6/21/2010 4:35:28 PM

Dennis Dixon was (MLB) drafted, signed his contract, and returned to Oregon and played QB like 2-3 years ago
6/21/2010 4:36:38 PM
well he will get a signing bonus but dont players usually only make around 60K[Edited on June 21, 2010 at 4:37 PM. Reason : in the minors]
6/21/2010 4:37:07 PM
sure, RW can come play football at NCSU for one more year if he wants to. but, why would he want to? he's guaranteed at least a small amount of cash monies to go pro in baseball. why come back and play football (when he knows he'll never go pro in football) and risk ruining his pro baseball career with some sort of injury?
6/21/2010 4:38:11 PM
6/21/2010 4:39:38 PM
^^ b/c you cant say he has no shot of being drafted or playing football in the NFLthere are several players already in the NFL that match his size and stature.[Edited on June 21, 2010 at 4:41 PM. Reason : ^thanks]
6/21/2010 4:40:32 PM
6/21/2010 4:43:04 PM
^^hasn't he said many times that he wants to play pro baseball and has no desire to play for the NFL?
6/21/2010 4:48:51 PM
