Spend less time in LA and more time in San Fran.
6/24/2010 3:27:04 AM
LA sucks...San Fran is great but expensive. If you can drive from SF to LA, do so because the scenery is awesome and Carmel is on the way, which is beautiful. Actually, I'd say scrap the whole LA idea entirely and just go to San Diego - much cleaner, nicer, more fun, etc. I hear in LA you can do a "gang tour" where they take you into compton, watts, etc. which I think would be interesting but I'm weird. Also, the beaches esp. Malibu are great
6/24/2010 7:11:23 AM
Scrap LA. Expensive and overrated. If you to to SF and like wine, take a day trip up to Napa (about an hour away).
6/24/2010 7:17:52 AM
im not a wine drinker, but i'm surprised at this scrap LA talklet me remind you i'm a first timer and would like to see hollywood, meet clint eastwood, the whole 9 yardswhat could i do in san diego or san fran that could even come closeim open to all suggestions

6/24/2010 2:04:48 PM
thanks for all the USELESS suggestions, i'll be able to plan a trip with your music videos and rap quotes
6/24/2010 2:08:40 PM
LA= Overrated. You are missing the best city though. missing out on S.D.
6/24/2010 2:10:53 PM
ok whats in SD besides a lack of dirtyness
6/24/2010 2:14:08 PM
Beaches beaches and more beaches. Also the 1st mission in California. Balboa Park. Old Town, the birthplace of C.A., The zoo, sea world, great hiking. shopping. La Jolla and its cove and seals. plus lots of good weather and sun. but I do really like san fran. you should get a boat tour in pier 39, but not from the tour boats, get one from the fishing boats, they are cheaper and so much fun. they go right up to the bridge.
6/24/2010 2:17:19 PM
^great SF idea, i'll be in san fran first so i might try that, i'll go to LA for at least one day the we'll seesan diego is a bit far but if LA sucks i'll go there.
6/24/2010 2:21:33 PM
Cool! I live in 29palms, Cali! I've been here since the end of March. The weather here is amazing. It has rained only once since I've been stationed here. Enjoy your visit!

When I went for a convention we were right across the street from the Pink Taco. We ate lunch their most days and saw all sorts of celebs from the almost unknown to the well known. A couple of notables was Vince from Entourage, Adrian Greener I think, as well as half the cast of the New American Gladiators. Also obligatory hit up a Dispensary [Edited on June 25, 2010 at 5:33 PM. Hey, I have a kinda stupid question to ask, but what the hell... I'm going to SF mid-July. I've heard that even during the summer it can get kinda chilly there in the evening... is that true? Should I be packing a light jacket or something?
6/25/2010 5:35:02 PM
yes you need a jacket. it gets cold even in SD at night.
