7/1/2010 6:11:29 AM
The epack transfer was fail as fuck. Al of the listings are broken
7/1/2010 6:29:05 AM
the ncsu jobs site sucks major donkey balls...why they (and so many other places) use that shitastic jsp framework is completely beyond me
7/1/2010 10:13:16 AM
^ Yes The site is really terrible. But, to make NCSU feel better, when UNC changed their job site a few weeks ago, it became worse than State's. Now if you try to go to page 2 of their open listings, the page just blanks out and you can't see any listings past page 1

this thread helped me apply for a job I was unaware of over at the vet schoolTHANKS GUYZ!!!
7/1/2010 11:09:33 AM

7/1/2010 11:11:56 AM
^^ Awesome
7/1/2010 11:28:26 AM
Yea, that site is absolutely awful. Anybody who designs a page where the navigation buttons do not work should be hit in the face.
7/1/2010 11:48:40 AM
You'd think a university with a computer programming degree could come up with a better site
7/1/2010 11:50:34 AM
you WOULD think so, but AFAIK, it's web suite that they purchased (as opposed to designing in-house)you'd be surprised how little cooperation there is between the colleges, and between colleges and administrative groups (and then again between administrative groups)...the university is a collection of organizations under the same umbrella, but they're fairly autonomous
7/1/2010 12:03:00 PM
Yuck. Who would want to work for NCSU?
7/1/2010 12:05:31 PM
Someone who wants a job with DAT 190% GUBNET HEALTH BENEFITS.
7/1/2010 12:08:29 PM
Look, you can do better, k?I believe in you
7/1/2010 12:10:41 PM
i work for NCSU already... the benefits seem to be getting worse and worse...
7/1/2010 12:13:12 PM
^ Yeah, that doesn't surprise me in this economy. I've also applied for jobs at other universities in the area so we'll see what happens.
7/1/2010 12:17:07 PM
7/1/2010 12:17:15 PM
^^what jobs did you apply for at state? what departments were they in?
7/1/2010 12:19:36 PM
the other advantage of working for a public north carolina university is free coursesgranted, it was a better deal before our bitch of a governor decided she'd pretend to save the state boatloads of money by reducing the number of free courses SPA employees can take in a year, but two is better than none, i suppose
7/1/2010 12:27:03 PM
^^ Admissions.^ Yeah that's some bs
7/1/2010 12:35:37 PM
they have an assistant general counsel job on thereit says 3 years experiencebut i figure i might as well apply anyway cause the worst that can happen is they'll throw my app in the trashwhich is what happens when i apply for ANY job even if i have the requisite experience so... what do i have to lose? nothing!!
7/1/2010 1:40:12 PM
I, too, have applied for jobs at State, and even though the framework has its issues, I like that it's similar at a lot of other schools. Makes applying a little bit easier.
