he plays for the Yankees, swings like a fucking pussy, and.. that's all I got. I don't dislike him, but there's a reason the team is called the "Evil Empire" pretty much everywhere that isn't NY
7/13/2010 10:16:29 AM
He played minor league ball in Greensborojust sayin
7/13/2010 10:18:17 AM
^^if you don't like Jeter you don't baseball. Don't be a fag he's one of the best athletic role models out of any sport today. Go pull that dildo out of your ass you'll feel better.
7/13/2010 10:19:49 AM
jeter pretty much rules. offensively. the best SS on the yankees still plays 3rd base.
7/13/2010 10:20:24 AM
that is irrelevant to the sentiment he expressed
7/13/2010 10:20:29 AM
Fuck Jeter and fuck you for getting butt-hurt
7/13/2010 10:26:07 AM
Reggie Jackson is next.I used to hate on Jeter until Arod got there. Now I'm meh on Jeter.[Edited on July 13, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Reason : meh]

Just to reiterate, Jeter is the second best SS on the Yankees (both offensively and defensively) He has no range at all and he never has, and he is decent offensively at best. He may "hustle" but that doesnt make up for his awful range. I agree with he chipper comment, he is a good player who has played the game right and stayed with his loyal fans. Very good player: yes Great player: prob notIt is kind of obsurd that the Yankees dont pick up a true third baseman(easier to find a good power hitting 3B than a good power hitting SS) and move Arod back to SS where he belongs. I know the Yankee faithful would never go for this move, but the way the Yankees buy up all the talent, it would seem to be the logical move. JETER BLOWS
7/13/2010 10:55:21 AM
7/13/2010 10:56:33 AM
yes clearly a future first round hall of famer blows
7/13/2010 11:06:14 AM
first ballot
7/13/2010 11:10:35 AM
I plan to take him in the first round of my Fantasy Baseball Hall Of Fame draft
7/13/2010 11:12:05 AM
120 OPS+, 3,000+ career hits, 1,100 + RBI, a lifetime .315 average and five rings (not to mention an .863 postseason OPS).Lock first ballot hall of famer. If a first ballot HOFer is not a "great player" to you then maybe your standards are a bit high.[Edited on July 13, 2010 at 11:13 AM. Reason : average at best defensively in his prime, though -- you got that correct]
7/13/2010 11:13:00 AM
Perhaps the HOF has lowered its standards.[Edited on July 13, 2010 at 11:14 AM. Reason : *]

7/13/2010 11:15:16 AM
They've raised them exponentially, and will have to even further in the wake of the steroid eraI'd like to see Jeter make a run at 4000
7/13/2010 11:16:19 AM
My second round pick is Edgar Martinez.
7/13/2010 11:20:18 AM
meh, with a great offensive player, you can often take the intersection of a bunch of hitting achievements and put your player in legendary companyit doesn't mean he belongs thereEdgar Martinez probably deserves the Hall of Fame, but he does NOT deserve to be in that picture. Every one of those guys has achieved things which make this
