^^^ well, a lot of people here post "Internet, serious business" as sarcasm.this is is just to show that the internet, really is, serious business ^ possibly, but who knows. there is no way to tell if she would be alive now if she hadn't said that his son hates him.[Edited on August 18, 2010 at 8:50 AM. Now easier than ever with new and improved Facebook Places! Because what better way for people to keep tabs on you than geocaching features enabled by default!

^^ agreed. GenuineSexyBoy is mistaken. shit can get real. just becasue smart college boys make clever insults, doesnt mean there isn't a psychopath off his meds hammering nails into a baseball bat somewhere on the other end.^ i'm afraid you don't understand how the mandatory child support system works. but yeah, i'm gonna go ahead and say that she wasn't terribly bright.[Edited on August 19, 2010 at 4:06 PM. You do know that I'm talking how things supposed to work... not how they actually work right?
8/19/2010 4:07:44 PM
no, i didnt' get that impression from your post at all.you said that if i dont know you, any insult you throw at me is all for the lulz.i disagree: there are certain topics that someone could broach to me in the wrong way online, that could make me decide to go look that person up and go knock on their door. granted, that hasn't happened yet, but i'm fairly stable and thick skinned. there are others out there who are not so much.

I don't think this story has much to with the internet or Facebook. She coulda said that stuff in person to his face and probably got the same reaction--although seeing it up there all public probably stung even more. It has more to do with words and how much they actually hurt. We've all been raised with this notion of non-violence and "stick and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me" thing. Obviously, the outcome this can have on kids who are expected to brush off verbal abuse is awful. But there's another consequence on the other end of things: people grow up saying whatever the fuck they want, and they never get their faces kicked in.You cannot back someone into a helpless corner and then taunt them like a dog chained to a tree...that dog's eventually gonna bite. It's like when you're at the bar, and State has lost it's billionth game in a row, and you know deep down that we suck, and then some drunken Walmart/Chapel Hill fan gets up in your grill, all, "It's alright, dude. Just don't give up. Don't ever give up. AHAHAHA." That guy may not know it but he has just escalated the situation beyond words...he didn't actually throw the first punch, but he might as well have.[Edited on August 19, 2010 at 8:20 PM.
