I always drink lots of caffeine, but sometimes I forget that the occasional non-caffeinated beverage is necessary if you want to stay hydrated. For example, today I woke up and drank a couple of Mountain Dews, and then a cup of coffee; and since then I've had an annoying, throbbing headache which has slowly built up steam as the day has progressed. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I didn't smoke a cigarette every hour, but what the hell, that's addiction for you.Does anyone else have this happen, or am I just a hypersensitive bitch?

Too much caffeine gives me Ophthalmic Migraines the next day. So I just avoid it when I can, but I'll never turn down a Cheerwine.

I've gotten much more sensitive to caffene as i've gotten older. I used to be able to consume mass quantities without any adverse side effects. These days I'm much more prone to jitters and the need to poop when I consume a lot of caffene.

I still don't get much out of caffeine but I don't drink coffee

I drink maybe a coke a day for lunch. Otherwise it's water at work or milk, juice, or water at home. We don't keep soda in the house. I haven't since I moved out on my ownI don't smoke either.I do have the biggest sweet tooth in the planet. I have dessert every night, sometimes after every meal.Addictions are a bitchful

I usually have a cup of coffee in the morning and another in the late afternoon, but I chug water the entire rest of the day and night until I go to bed. I have noticed that I'm more likely to get headaches on the weekend, but it's not from dehydration; it's from withdrawal because I'm more likely to skip one of my caffeine doses when I'm not getting ready for work in the morning or taking a walk to a coffee shop with a co-worker in the afternoon.

It's probably not so much of a caffeine problem as it is just being dehydrated. Drink some water.

i stopped drinking coffee everyday because how i'd feel when i went a day without it...not even a morning coffee drinker but i'd get it everyday around 2 or 3pm in the afternoon at school. once i started having "withdrawal" or whatever i just was over it and stopped.

Whenever I get a headache, I drink a soda. Doesn't help though.

^^In college I was downing a 2-Liter of Dr. Pepper a day. I dropped sodas for Lent one time in college and went off cold turkey. Massive headaches for 3-4 days. Not cool. After finding my triglycerides were too high, I dropped the regular sodas and went caffeine free & diet. Helps out a lot. Plus now when I have one cup of coffee every now and then, it really gives me a lot more energy. Before it would take a couple cups to really kick in for me, and then I would be jittery and have the coffee shits. Moderating my intake makes me enjoy it more now.

yea. i guess i could maybe try to do moderate coffee/caffeine. i mean i do drink an occasional soda. but a lot of times they are caffeine free. coffee really kills my stomach, so i don't miss it that much. i mean i LOVE the way it tastes and smells but it KILLS my stomach, even just a small cup...so i killed my addiction AND some stomach problems by stopping. oh and saved $$$ cause i'd buy it everyday from our school coffee shop!so i switched to hot tea. still gives you a boost but w/o caffeine and there are tons of flavors, so i like it.
