I need to find a restauranr relatively close to base for ~330-4 that's "family friendly", can accommodate ~25 people, isn't golden corral, and is cheap-ish. More specifically heographically: from sandhills veterans cemetary, simple to get to

Mi Casita on Reilly Rd - never been to that one specifically, nothing fancy but I'd imagine they can accommodate[Edited on September 26, 2010 at 11:33 AM. Reason : they're actually everywhere - the Bragg Blvd loc might be closer]

Ethnic foods wont fly lol. Original sol'n was golden corral but some folks don't want gc, so i'm trying to find an alternative

Not near base but Grandson's in Hope Mills in great! Fueller's out off of 301 isn't bad either.

http://www.peadens.com/if it's still open, it's alright[Edited on September 26, 2010 at 1:23 PM. Reason : at the least it should be big enough]
9/26/2010 1:19:21 PM
there's an applebees on skibo that'd be pretty straightforward to get to

Luigi's if you call ahead has a private banquet room, its italian, dont know if thats too ethnic and its easy to get to from post, if not that then the Mash house has plenty of room and is yummy
9/26/2010 2:27:06 PM
Mash House has good reviews but its biggest table fits 12 people and is on stageGrandson's is my bet, good ol southern food buffet, but its about 15 minutes out of Fayetteville
9/26/2010 2:30:05 PM
ya but i think you can request the area where the pool tables were for a large party, they may not be all at the same table, but all in the same area
9/26/2010 2:31:58 PM
you could go to sandpiper
9/26/2010 3:28:11 PM
i've only ever eaten there once, and it was a long time ago, isnt it some kinda of calabash style restaurant
9/26/2010 3:45:00 PM
seafood and bbq buffet, gut-bomb style, greasy and just generally dirtyboth Mash House and Luigi's are fine places, but I wouldn't have considered either "cheap-ish" - maybe for lunch though?

so who here actually lives in fayetteville?? there are enough roll call threads out thereWhat do yall do for fun (dont say leave town, that one's too easy)Bars you go to etcI usually hit up the sand trap, the ale house, or BS Jones
9/26/2010 4:18:45 PM
I live in Fayettevilleonly restaurants my wife and I ever go to are Pierro's, Micasitas, and Scruboaks... mostly bc they're right down the road and we don't really go out much I guess we do go to Ale House sometimes but not too often
9/26/2010 5:09:05 PM
Grew up in Fayetteville, go back about once a month.Pierro's, Luigi's, Hilltop House and Circa are all great, but MiCasita's is the best restaurant on the planet. Mainly because it's always open no matter what - when Fay was snowed in they would be the only place open, the whole neighborhood would walk over the ice to get there.Going out, I stay towards Huske and Charlie's across the street.

^ i don't know the restaurant... but saying that saddam was a nice guy is a way bigger exaggeration by default.
9/26/2010 7:01:21 PM
Vick's
9/26/2010 7:02:27 PM
unless of course saddam was actually a nice guy. then it wouldn't be an exaggeration at all. ha
