Joomla!
10/9/2010 9:26:12 PM
Is that loaded enough?
10/9/2010 9:32:43 PM
^haha, it's just about twice our previous capacity. But I think our new capacity is around 85-100 listeners I've also added in a 24Kpbs feed - apparently log signal areas couldn't handle all that data [Edited on October 9, 2010 at 9:36 PM. Reason : ^^ whats wrong with Joomla?]

I'm pulling as much as I can on DSL, individual players sometimes have to rebuffer.
10/9/2010 9:38:00 PM
^i saw it drop from 17 to 5; excellent work On a related note; when that buffering kicks in and it does it's burst thing it uses a boatload of ports. For 20 clients I was rockin' like 400 ports

Multiple instances of VLC make it easy to load something like that. Mute all but one to listen for quality and dropped packets.
10/9/2010 9:51:44 PM
^I usually watch it from the media info window. I have a 64K stream and 24K stream doing that right now. 138MB and nigh a dropped packet so far [Edited on October 9, 2010 at 9:57 PM. Reason : oh snap - closer investigation reveals something is wrong ]

^lol, why? Here's what's up. I'm sending 24K, 22010hz, mono signal to the server. It's either playing back like the chipmunks or it's sending WAY more data. Ideas?[Edited on October 9, 2010 at 10:12 PM. Reason : a][Edited on October 9, 2010 at 10:31 PM. Reason : crashed my ish - we back now]

it's literally incomprehensibledesigned by developers with developers in mind - once you learn how to use it, you're fine, and I suppose if you use it on a daily basis you're ok with itbut if you're like me, and you only touch it once in a blue moon, you hate the entire experience and you immediately forget everything about it, thus causing more pain the NEXT time you have to re-learn it.also there's no consistency in plugins - Plugin A does one thing, another Plugin billed as "competitor to Plugin A" goes about doing something a completely different way. Shit is generally ass-backwards from what you'd expect from EVERY plugin. Plugins make irreversible changes to your install, so if you make a mistake, the whole goddamned thing is hosed.sorry, I could go on for hours
10/9/2010 10:31:54 PM
^haha - yea. There's a definitely learning curve. However I have a file with about 40 plugins that accomplish almost anything I've had a client ask for. And nothing in the file makes permanent changes (those are not plugins; rather 'hacks' - and they have to identify themselves since the last few iterations - easy to avoid now). There is definitely a guess and check system for finding a good plugin, however. It's was a SERIOUS pain to find a good Twitter plugin; but for $5 I got the sweet one. Welp, I think I'm going to call this test over. Thanks to the supporters. No idea why the low quality stream is going haywire.<<<TEST IS OVER FOR THE NIGHT - THANKS>>>
