theres a bunch because usually when you remix a song it is a song from one genre being remixed into a song targeted towards a ehole different fanbase of a different genre so it becomes fresh to them as it is not something they had been exposed to

La Roux reminds me of a british lady gaga in that she makes songs that are popular, she isn't attractive, and most of the remixed versions of her songs I've heard are 1000000 times better than the ones she made.
