10/12/2010 11:03:03 PM
O
10/12/2010 11:04:49 PM
Definitely over, how long does it take for the capsule to travel from their underground location to the surface?nvm, on cnn:
10/12/2010 11:05:47 PM
sort of surprised they allowed cameras down there, you'd think someone would have gone crazy and might have been waltzin around bare-assi wonder when they click the button on the rescue clicker, like completely into the open air outside?[Edited on October 12, 2010 at 11:06 PM. Reason : ]

10/12/2010 11:07:10 PM
ok, new O/U since I have no idea what a reasonable number is3 hours?
10/12/2010 11:07:41 PM
i cant find a number but according to LA times"It is expected to take at least two days to bring all the miners out, assuming the capsule is able to negotiate the man-made shaft, which is only partially lined with metal."
10/12/2010 11:07:48 PM
ok, so 48 hours total, 33 minersthe first one might take longer before they get the hang of it, so maybe 3 hours
10/12/2010 11:08:57 PM
I wonder if all the miners will even want to be rescued?
10/12/2010 11:09:57 PM
hey now thinks they have stockholm syndrome w/ the elements[Edited on October 12, 2010 at 11:11 PM. Reason : are they going to be paid for these months of overtime]

confused. they just said that they are taking out the healthiest people first and getting the sickest last. does that make sense to anybody? why not get out the people that need medical attention first?
10/12/2010 11:14:29 PM
They are taking the 4 healthiest first incase something happens when they are coming up. The healthiest would be the most likely to survive if they have to climb back down or if sometihng else happens.
10/12/2010 11:16:29 PM
It would be funny if "Al quaeda out of nowhere" ran by and threw a grenade down the hole
10/12/2010 11:17:19 PM
i was wondering that too, but im sure theres a reason for it (ie when you go into a building full of hurt people you ignore the ones screaming in pain)[Edited on October 12, 2010 at 11:17 PM. Reason : ^^got it ]
10/12/2010 11:17:21 PM
It does seem like a video game... the way they're presenting that is just odd.
10/12/2010 11:20:03 PM
Man, Chile really has their shit together. I don't think there would be that many other countries in the world with the resolve and ability to keep all these people alive for so long.Plus they got rocked by that earthquake like 8 months and brushed it off like it wasn't shit.
10/12/2010 11:20:07 PM
^USA rescued the miners (american headed it up)...those miners would of been trapped for forever if not for the great USA.....they might got to them in a 1,000 years by digging with shovels......also, NASA told them what to feed them while they were trapped....I heard they are gonna seek political asylum and try to get to the USA......[Edited on October 12, 2010 at 11:23 PM. What if the capsule gets stuck and plugs the hole?
10/13/2010 4:53:20 AM
I just happened to turn on the news at the exact right time to see the first miner rescued last night. I was just flipping through the channels, didn't even know it was happening today. It was a little emotional.
