Cause the sad face is blue and the crying face is orange. I associate blue with sad more than I do orange.

At least sad face is trying to keep it all together. Crying face is a little bitch.

True. Eyebrows make the facial expression. I mean you can pretty much tell how a person feels just by looking at their eyes and eyebrows.

It's much easier to control your mouth expression than your eyes or eyebrows. I've had several people tell me that I twitch my eyebrows during certain situations and I don't even realize that I do it.

I believe the crying is from the loss of eyebrows.

see the way I see it

the blue sad face is simply sadness in a pure form...it has admitted defeat, lowered its eyes to the floor and relinquished all hope. it is certainly sad, but in certainty there is an implicit, though subtle, comfort. 'tis only human nature to be attracted to the familiar, and for that reason i see it as a shade less poignant than its rockstar sibling.

the crying face stares back at you wide-eyed with a virtually palpable shock and disbelief, the sorrow of course being manifested in lacrimal fluid. its emotional state has clearly been evoked into turmoil and it has yet to come to terms with the finality of the situation, if it exists at all. it stands in contrast to the former as it helplessly flails about in the vivid emotional chaos behind the tears and we are afforded a candid window into a crushing soul. it's terrifying, honestly.

is the blue one "sadder?" perhaps. but is that the question you really meant to ask?

I have thought this for a long time. I feel so bad for and just want to go give him a hug.

I agree with this thread. The crying face almost looks like it is mocking you. Kind of a sarcastic "boo-hoo" type of face.

My friend burned off his eyebrows when he was younger from playing with some model space ship engine.

I think it's a combination of the blueness and the eyebrows.
