After an eastpak store we used to go to went away I think http://theglobetrotter.com/ had eastpak backpacks in the back of their store, but I think that was strictly seasonal (i.e. school year based).I know target carries halfway decent eddie bauer backpacks. Worked for me when the straps on my old eastpak finally tore to bits.
10/25/2010 11:30:50 PM
is sharron luggage still around?
10/25/2010 11:30:59 PM
This reminds meI need to send in my LL Bean bag to get the zipper fixed, or have them give me a new one, whichever they choose to do.
10/25/2010 11:31:00 PM
target is an idea, there's one between me and TTC anyway
10/25/2010 11:32:14 PM
I think you should just go to REI and pay the piper. If you actually keep them that long a nice pack is well worth the money amortized over a decade or so.[Edited on October 25, 2010 at 11:33 PM. Reason : l]

Reason : slave famous doesn't use tampons, he just leaves a red messy trail every month]this one looks kinda nice, and doesn't look like $JaybeesBathroomScalehttp://www.target.com/Swiss-Gear-1-2232215E7-SwissGear-Backpack/dp/B002R2D55Q/ref=sc_ri_1?ie=UTF8&node=43672011[Edited on October 25, 2010 at 11:37 PM. I have a LL.Bean and a Lowepro for the camera/laptop combo. Both are extremely good at what they do. My LL bean is the one that converts to a single shoulder deal and expands in depth to pack more crap - perfect fill in for a few extra clothes when I don't want to step up to luggage.
10/25/2010 11:39:52 PM
Take that shit to Wang's Tailor!
10/25/2010 11:40:21 PM
i wonder what they would charge lol ... i was thinking about just getting it repaired
10/25/2010 11:42:29 PM
I dunno what it is, but I love my back pack. I've had it for ~9 years as well. It's a bit beat up, but I think I'd pay to have it fixed if it werent too expensive. we need a 'post your backpack' thread I would start it, but I dont have my camera on me...and heat transfer needs getting done Maybe tomorrow if I remember.[Edited on October 25, 2010 at 11:46 PM. I paid $80 for a High Sierra bag back before I started at NCSU in 2003. Its been across the country 3 times and around the world (literally) once. I still use it 2-3 times a week and its still in great shape.
