WHERE'S MY HOUSE?
11/1/2010 8:02:38 PM
baseball has ruined my sunday night line up at least once a year since....eternity
11/1/2010 8:03:35 PM
^should've made a better pitching order
11/1/2010 8:05:25 PM
^^ I know. Who watches this shit? IT'S BORING!
11/1/2010 8:13:09 PM
Everyone in the most important city in the world.
11/1/2010 8:21:46 PM
Not if you're a Cablevision customer...
11/1/2010 8:22:44 PM
Haha, they reached an agreement before the Jets game yesterday (FML)... but if the Yankees were alive still, you better believe it would have been a week ago.
11/1/2010 8:24:09 PM
wahh wahh wahh i fail to adapt to something that occurs at the same time every year wahh wahh wahh
11/1/2010 8:55:20 PM
11/1/2010 9:16:24 PM
I'd rather watch HOUSE!
11/1/2010 9:19:25 PM
I'm enjoying this strike out festival
11/1/2010 9:21:41 PM
I'm kind of skeptical of anyone who can't enjoy a game like this tonight. What a great pitchers duel in an elimination game. I weep for all the non-big cities who don't like this sport and this type of game.I hate to be an elitist but it's no real big surprise that of the five largest metropolitan areas of the country, four are huge baseball areas (NYC, Chicago, LA, Philly) while the rest of the simple country doesn't like it.
11/1/2010 9:23:13 PM
So nobody enjoys baseball. GET THIS SHIT OUT OF HERE!
11/1/2010 9:23:50 PM
I love watching playoff baseball. Especially a game like this.
11/1/2010 9:28:20 PM
Don't forget Boston these bitches are baseball pyschos. Ha,ilton just threw a bat.
11/1/2010 9:29:57 PM
Boston is actually not a huge metropolitan area, though. But everyone Northeast of I-95/I-91 in New England (Munson/Nixon line) is a Sox fan...I will never win this argument in North Carolina but all the evidence I need is that in the biggest area of the country on the Friday before the local football team was playing in the Super Bowl (Giants vs Pats) the front and back page of every paper was the second most popular baseball team in the area trading for a star pitcher (Johan Santana).Baseball is so much more popular than football in that area it's not even funny.
11/1/2010 9:32:29 PM
NyM410 tells it like it is ITT, I'm a pretty big angels fan so my seasons been done for a while but it's nice to see my division being represented, even if they aren't looking super hot.
11/1/2010 9:35:21 PM
Also, I lived in the Bay Area for 3.5 years. Two of those years the Giants were awful but they have an amazing ballpark (even non-baseball fans would enjoy a night out there) and their fans are great. Never won since they moved out there in 1958 and that is a city that deserves a baseball championship.Buster Posey is one of my favorite young players in baseball and Lincecum, for a few years, was a must watch starter every time out.
11/1/2010 9:38:32 PM
I don't know if I would say that baseball is bigger nor better than football.
11/1/2010 9:40:13 PM
Haha, I know that is the case in most parts of the country but it's a stone cold fact that is the case where I'm from.Anyway, no pissing match here. Just really enjoying (finally) a great game in this years World Series.[Edited on November 1, 2010 at 9:45 PM. Reason : RENTERIA!!! Haha, that is amazing. More HR the last 3 nights than the 4 months before]
11/1/2010 9:43:25 PM
football is only bigger cause its only play once a week for 4 months
11/1/2010 9:45:42 PM
The NFL is as popular as it is because of two things: retards and fantasy footballThese are also the two reasons I'm not a huge NFL fan
11/1/2010 10:10:55 PM
Giants are the champs.
11/1/2010 10:28:49 PM
I love baseball. Love it.But I would trade in 10 straight Phillies world series championships for 1 Eagles superbowl win.
11/2/2010 6:44:08 AM
baseball is down there around soccer in the 'boring shit i don't ever want to watch' categoryhell, tennis is more exciting to watch
11/2/2010 6:51:31 AM
i like how fox was like "new fringe if no baseball"better wrap that shit up, i said
11/2/2010 8:51:53 AM
11/2/2010 8:56:07 AM
That doesn't even make sense.
11/2/2010 11:04:13 AM
11/2/2010 11:10:30 AM
I was mad I couldn't watch the Simpsons Halloween episode ON Halloween thanks to baseball
11/2/2010 11:11:29 AM
FUCK YEAH WORLD CHAMPIONS LETS RUN THRU FIREGET THE FUCK BACK I WILL NOT HESITATE TO USE DEADLY FORCE
11/2/2010 11:21:42 AM
A regular season NFL game beat the World Series in ratings. I'd like to see a regular season MLB game beat the fucking Super Bowl.
11/2/2010 11:24:27 AM
Not a fair comparison.A single game championship will always beat a best of 7.And no one's arguing baseball is more popular than football...just that baseball is more popular than football in a few pockets of the country.
11/2/2010 11:25:50 AM
I love the NFL so I never bash it in these threads. I just don't like ignorance, and when people claim "no one" likes baseball it is flat out ignorant given it's the most popular sport in some of the largest cities in the country/world..
11/2/2010 11:33:32 AM
Fantasy football is the most annoying concept ever. Listening to some douche bag talk about his pics like its a real thing is bullshit. Fuck off ya tools.
11/2/2010 11:36:07 AM
I just know that when my MLB teams suck (Cubs/Nats...so pretty much every year) my interest in MLB is zero. When my NFL teams suck (Skins/Panthers...again...), I still enjoy watching football.
11/2/2010 11:37:48 AM
Attention span over a 16 game season is a bit easier to maintain than a 162 game season! It is a lot of time invested to watch a good baseball team, let alone a shitty one.Personally -- and I realize this will sound dumb and like I have no life -- I think the payoff when your baseball team wins a title is greater than football as a fan.
11/2/2010 11:41:19 AM
When have you ever experienced a title?Don't tell me you remember 86
11/2/2010 11:42:49 AM
football >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>baseball
11/2/2010 11:43:12 AM
Hockey > baseball baseball > footballfootball > soccer
11/2/2010 11:45:22 AM
EVERYTHING MUST BE THE NFL.RAWR RAWR RAWR HIT PEOPLE
11/2/2010 11:47:29 AM
Hockey > Football (NCAA & NFL) & NCAA BasketballFootball & NCAA Basketball > BaseballBaseball > Soccer (Except EPL)Soccer > GolfGolf > NBA BasketballNBA Basketball > Nascar
11/2/2010 11:56:21 AM
Subjective opinions being pushed as facts ITTFOOTBALL IS THE BEST SPORT IN THE USA, FACT!!! AND NO ONE LIKES BASEBALL BECAUSE I DON'T, FACT!!
11/2/2010 12:01:33 PM
Sports where my team is good > sports where my team blows
11/2/2010 12:03:11 PM
baseball is over... and no one in America noticed or cared
11/2/2010 12:20:21 PM
In this thread NyM410 states that the cities with the most people have the most baseball fans. For the record I'm one of the fools who prefer MLB over the NFL. ]
11/2/2010 1:12:22 PM
That isn't really what I said, but I'm tired of this argument. Haters are gonna hate.
11/2/2010 1:44:09 PM
Answer my question goddammit
11/2/2010 1:45:20 PM
Of course I don't remember '86.. Anything about one of my teams winning is a hypothetical
11/2/2010 1:51:16 PM
unlike NyM410, as a passing phillies fan i have seen my team win a title. also unlike NyM410, i don't care too much about it.however, baseball at least still kind of means something. the NFL might as well be WWE. it's 100% commercial driven entertainment.it's also a great game to watch, despite what people on the internet say.
