Just signed up with Bobby's referral. Ended up getting the Choice Xtra package with HD DVR/Cinema Plus for 31.99 for First 10 months, 41.99 for next 2 months, then $70.99 for last 12.Even when my bill is at its max, it still seems like I'm getting a better deal than I would through TWC. (calling and complaining aside) Plus you can't put a price on not having to deal with TWC.Discounts$10 referral credit for first 10 months$29 bill credit for first 12 months$180 Costco Gift cardHopefully djeternal's deal wasn't embarrassingly better.
11/17/2010 5:55:46 PM
^ Mine is pretty similarChoice Xtra is $34.99 for the first 12, then $63.99 for the last 12.Includes 2 receivers (HD DVR and Regular HD) and Cinema Plus. Free HD obviouslyYou'd still get the referral credit and Costco Gift cardOh yeah, and I can do Free Starz and Showtime for a year[Edited on November 17, 2010 at 6:11 PM. Reason : a]

Is that with DVR as well? If so it looks like I could've saved $7/month. Not a huge deal if so.I got free Starz/Showtime for 3 months, rather than a year. To get the costco credit I had to order it though costco's site, not sure if that would've impacted being able to get your rates as well. What are my chances of being able to get my install moved from Friday to tomorrow (in time for the basketball game?) Would I need to call a local installer or the 800 number?[Edited on November 17, 2010 at 6:17 PM. Reason : ]
11/17/2010 6:13:42 PM
Yeah, it includes DVRI'd call the 800 number

How is the HD in comparison to TWC?
2/8/2011 11:10:45 AM
can't tell a difference, but the guide doesn't take 5 seconds every time you push a button
2/8/2011 11:16:58 AM
^Amen
2/8/2011 11:21:23 AM
^^ thats' from the hardware. the new Samsung units are much faster. even still...i'm getting fed up with TWC.
2/8/2011 11:23:22 AM
^the samsung boxes are a definite improvement over the explorer or whatever the old TWC box is but I feel like the HD DVR+ from DTV is still a bit faster.i also appreciate the fact that if there is a SD and HD version of the same channel, DTV will hide the SD channel. oh and the score guide when you are watching sports.
