Auto-tune doesn't work. It takes an already annoying genre of music and takes the annoyingness a step further.

just about any sound effect can be good in the right hands. the guys at clearchannel and viacom that push this microwave popcorn assed top 40 trash are not the right hands. it's almost unilaterally bad in any song produced in the last 5 years
