I'm not sure I'd have any one use that would justify owning it.I spend a few days at a friend's place in Philly back in October and used his quite a bit...it was definitely fun to tinker with, but I'm not sure about much more than that. If you happen to travel a lot, it's probably a decent investment as an all-in-one e-reader/ipod/gaming device.

I own and use one daily. I spend the majority of my time browsing the web. If you feel that you could use a portable lightweight web browser then go for it. I play a game or two every now and then but that doesnt justify the purchase.

I own a mini iPad with a built in cell phone. Very convenient, would be a waste of money if it was bigger though.

If you have decent eyes, an ipad is the same thing as an iphone

i would never show clients things on an iPhoneon another note, i thought the thing was sort of silly when it first came out.. i was like "it can't run photoshop?"but we got some at work and it's the handiest damn thing i've used in a long time... that sort of computing and user experience is just going to become more and more prevalent, regardless of who's developing itit's sort of like the jump mario made when he went from super mario world to mario 64 in the terms of how you use a computer

have one for work, basically use it as a portfolio of our different projects, works great. has scored me (along w/ my great reputation) a number of projects, all of which I was high bidder for

I fly to Texas to work every week so I got one a few weeks ago to entertain myself on the flights. I load that sucker up with tv shows + games + kindle books and I'm good to go. Plus, it has honestly replaced my laptop as my primary browser when watching TV and w/e. I've used it way more than I thought I would.

Have you tried a galaxy tab? Or any of the 7-inch size tablets?I find the smaller form factor much easier to handle, use before sleep (reading news in bed), read books on (you can hold it easily one handed) and (for me) provides a much better experience. The large screen was too unwieldy. But to each their own. I'm cool with a galaxy tab for now; and most likely will check out the Playbook and whatever WebOS tablet is cooking out there.
