http://www.wral.com/news/national_world/national/story/8749441/Anyone got a link to watch this? I think this will be quite neat to watch. For the record while I kinda wanna see something blow up, I hope it doesnt as it will massively destroy the neighborhood and put a lot of people in danger.

yeah i saw that, it's just that fire + explosives always seems to me like it'll blow up. i don't know enough about it to understand how it won't explode.

Holy crap.I presume they're using some sort of incendiary chemical to get the fire up to 1800 degrees? Just hope it doesn't react with the explosives...I can only assume they know what they doing though.

ya well if escondido blows up we wouldn't lose much its a bit ghetto. but this made big news still is. only 15 mins north of SD

well, San Diego is home of the largest EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) division in the US Navy, so i think they have good resources available.

I would imagine you'd just hold a lighter up to it and let it do its own thing.Explosives burning aught to reach that temp on their own.
12/9/2010 1:56:51 PM
it doesnt get to that temp immediately. think about that.
