Other threads were expired as far as I know.My friend just got back from the hospital because he had been drinking about one of these a day when he worked double shifts and the excess vitamin B (several thousand times recommended daily intake) caused his body to lower vitamin B production/intake, which caused slow hemoglobin production and lowered his red blood cell count. So when he stopped needing it after holiday hours ended it caused him to go into shock and made him appear to be anemic. He was sick for weeks and specialists couldn't figure it out but when they finally did they told him he may feel nauseous/faint for several more weeks. So yeah, be careful with that shit.

Are they kosher for the occasional monthly crunkfest?

That really sucks for him. Makes you wonder what other vitamin supplements you can OD on.

coworker tried this.he still fell asleep on the job.shit don't work.
1/4/2011 6:05:57 PM
Yeah I worry about this sometimes. I try to avoid caffeine on occasion, and usually turn to vitamin B either in the form of the 5 hr energy shot, vitamin B complex pills, etc. But too much of a good thing is never good. And I worry about certain other people who can drink 2 huge Monster drinks, then a 5 hr energy, and maybe a soda in the same day.
1/4/2011 6:07:28 PM
dammit, doctors. just let natural selection work.
1/4/2011 6:12:35 PM
using it every once in a while shouldn't affect you that much but 8,000% of anything probably should raise a few red flags. Imagine all the truckers that must use this with a combination of double espressos and nodoz
1/4/2011 6:14:06 PM
Wow...That's more than most heavy duty pre-workout supplements.Makes Red Bull look like the healthy choice, lol.

Isn't taurine that stuff cats need for their eyes or they go blind? Not sure how that's supposed to boost your energy.

Why would anyone waste money on this shit?
1/4/2011 8:22:10 PM
doesnt really give me energy, actually it makes me feel tired, but it helps me focus if im trying to write a paper or something
1/4/2011 8:23:11 PM
i've never really understood why people that need caffeine don't buy a pack of vivarin for $5 instead of spending 3 times as much for energy drinks with who-knows-what random bullshit in them. it's damn well not because they taste good
1/4/2011 8:27:44 PM
This was a waste of money for me... Fell asleep within 30 minutes of taking it >_>

They work for me. I am a fan. But I only take them once every few weeks and don't regularly drink caffeine
1/4/2011 8:49:37 PM
This, like medicine, you can't take every fucking day.
1/4/2011 8:51:13 PM
Um.... I'm pretty sure most medicines are meant to be taken once a day. (Unless you mean OTC meds..)
1/4/2011 8:52:10 PM
It depends on whether or not you're using them recreationally.
1/4/2011 8:52:54 PM
8333%?? seriously??
1/4/2011 9:08:56 PM
Yeah I meant otcs
1/4/2011 9:31:34 PM
I've used them for long road trips because the volume of liquid is so small so I don't have to stop to piss as much.
1/4/2011 11:23:42 PM
Shit does little to nothing for me. Hell, I've taken two in a row before and didn't even get the niacin flush.I've also consumed 4 or 5 energy drinks in a day...and they didn't do much either. What's next...cocaine?
1/4/2011 11:25:57 PM
yeah, i can intake huge amounts of caffeine with pretty minimal effect.it's probably partially due to building up a tolerance, but I've pretty much always been that way...and for that matter, most stuff (besides caffeine) barely affects me. Painkillers (never used them recreationally...talking about after surgery, injury, etc) don't do much for me. Ambien (given to me on deployments to help with crazy work schedules and oddball hours) doesn't do shit. The only thing I can think of that really works is Dexedrine (the yin to ambien's yang, again given during combat deployment). That shit is awesome.
1/4/2011 11:34:51 PM
dextroamphetamine is friggin' awesome - yeah
1/5/2011 1:16:53 AM
dextroamphetamine is my drug of choice. I would paint someone's house, work on their cars for free, mow their lawn in exchange for dex. I draw the line at puffing peters, though.

Im not sure but I think this thread just got really gay

yeah, so that doesn't make much sense.b12 is water soluble. you adsorb what you need and excrete the rest.you also don't synthesize b12 directly, you just convert it between forms.the only thing i could think of would be erythrocytosis from the excess cobalt, but that's a stretch.
