1/5/2011 10:50:06 PM
I'm going with the toaster. The one with the fold down front, not the slots. I use that joker for freaking everything. Mini convection oven for the WIN.

my Krups rice cooker and crock pot. I eat rice as a staple food and I also make chili, pot roast, soups, chowders, spaghetti sauce, etc. with the slow cooker function
1/6/2011 12:07:00 AM
all you need is a knife, a cutting board, a wooden spoon, a pan, and a mixing bowl...you can cook anything with that.
1/6/2011 12:18:13 AM
1/6/2011 6:25:56 AM

I have an air popper too butmy 6qt kitchen aid mixer wins hands down other than a gas range and refrigerator.
1/6/2011 7:59:21 AM
i see what you did thereand i agree that a gas range is superior to an electric
1/6/2011 7:59:36 AM
You bought an appliance to make popcorn?Try this: 2 Tbsp of oil (healthy crap if you want)1/4 cup of OR's popcorn kernelsHeat over medium-high in a pot with a vented glass cover until done.Sprinkle lightly with ground sea salt and Old Bay.Enjoy.

NINJA!
1/6/2011 9:19:37 AM
^ zomg, my wife and i got that for our wedding and i love it...it's our blender and food processor (along with our kitchenaid attachments, anyway)ours is blue, though, and only came with the blender jar and food processing jar...what's the middle-sized one for?
1/6/2011 9:21:32 AM
After living four years without one, I have to go with the oven.If we're talking kitchen gadgets, I'll go with the crock pot.
1/6/2011 9:21:38 AM
I kind of wanted one of those things, but when I read about them online everyone basically said they work great but have plastic gears, so they break easy. Why cant they build cool shit properly?
1/6/2011 9:22:58 AM
i'll go with the fridge
1/6/2011 9:24:04 AM
^^ Because then you wouldn't buy replacements.
1/6/2011 9:24:26 AM
^^^ they DO have plastic "gears", but we use our pretty regularly and haven't had any trouble[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 9:24 AM. Reason : .]

1/6/2011 9:28:32 AM
i use the big one for smoothies and blended coffee drinks and it works very well...i can see the value of something in between the biggest and smallest containers, though
1/6/2011 9:29:35 AM
I also bought a new Kitchenaid stand mixer on Black Friday for $100That's pretty awesome as well.
1/6/2011 9:30:47 AM
You're gonna love my nuts.
1/6/2011 9:31:25 AM
^^ jeebus, yeah, that's a great price...the ultra (300w/4.5qt) or artisan (325w/5qt)? my mom has the professional model (575w/6qt), but i only rarely use the artisan (which we nabbed for $200) to its full potential, so i'd just waste the nicer, bigger modelwe ended up getting most of the (overpriced) attachments (including ice cream maker!) for our wedding...they ARE pretty coolI LOVE KITCHEN STUFF[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 9:35 AM. Reason : carats]
1/6/2011 9:33:32 AM
I think its just called the KitchenAid Classic.I LOVE KITCHEN CRAP. I, too, have the Slap Chop.
1/6/2011 9:37:00 AM
My mom gave me her old Kitchenaid mixer Haven't had a chance to use it yet but she gave me a good number of the attachments for it too.Now I want the ice cream maker so I can make black sesame ice cream.
1/6/2011 9:37:47 AM
I was cleaning one of those wal-mart brand chopper things and was like "This is a pain in the ass to clean, it would be much better if I could open it up""Holy crap, Vince was right! "
1/6/2011 9:40:42 AM
I got my mom the pasta attachments for hers awhile back but she barely ever uses them. She uses the mixer for other things all the time though. Also, I see the woman jokes are here in full force. I approve.[Edited on January 6, 2011 at 9:44 AM. Reason : not just the maker]
1/6/2011 9:43:45 AM
1/6/2011 9:45:02 AM
The heads end up rattleing on the classic kitchenaids that's why I got one of the bowl lift style rather than the tilt head model ( the hinge wears out )
1/6/2011 10:30:15 AM
i love our kitchen aid stand mixer- we got the 6qt pro one as a wedding gift, and it's amazing. We also got a meat grinder attachment for Christmas that I'm gonna try out this week to make some meatballs Despite how much I love that mixer, I'm not sure it's the greatest. Especially if people are considering large appliances like gas stoves or ovens. I'd lose my mind if I didn't have our gas stove anymore.
1/6/2011 10:48:36 AM
My husband owns a catering companyHe has this mixer
