I never learned multiplication tables, I always did it in my head.So I was always one of the last people to finish my multiplication tests in 3rd or 4th grade, but I think it actually made me better at math.

I struggled with multiplication in elementary school. Baffled the shit out of my teachers. I was in the advanced group for reading, but in the SLOW group for math. Never had problems with addition and subtraction, but multiplication and division were impossible for me to understand.Mainly because they taught it like this:which is absolutely the worst way to teach me. I don't do repetition. I've always been a visual learner. Show me the output, and a visual way to get there, and I'll always get it. My dad was the one who finally figured out the issue and got me one of them there multiplications squares. Had that shit memorized in a day.
