You're pretty much dead to me now, History Channel.Whenever they come back from commercial the narrator says, "If this book exists, then it probably says..."
2/16/2011 10:51:52 PM
the history channel has fallen off the map on history kinda like mtv is to music
2/16/2011 10:53:48 PM
More like the Conspiracy Theory Channel, amirite?
2/16/2011 10:57:18 PM
More like Reality TV About Antiques and Lumberjacks Channel.
2/16/2011 11:22:29 PM
I am both intrigued and disgusted knowing that I watch the same shit on TV that the nefarious Mr. Joshua watches.
2/16/2011 11:24:06 PM
history channel has somehow turned into the ancient aliens channel. I wouldn't be surprised if the somehow tied ancient aliens into the presidency.
2/16/2011 11:25:08 PM
the only way to see that book is to become the President.or you can steal the Declaration of Independence, then kidnap the President.but this is after you neutralize the VX gas threat on Alcatraz, and stop John Malkovich from being a bad guy on a plane
2/16/2011 11:26:30 PM
A lot more people watch it now that it's fake information.Real information is just boring and ordinary.Though... if more educational shows were like MANswers... the possibilities are endless
2/16/2011 11:28:52 PM
You can only watch so many documentaries on Hitler, whereas the format of a weekly series will actually bring back viewers - though it is almost completely devoid of intellectual merit.

pawn stars has its moments of genius, but it also has its moments of the old man talking
2/16/2011 11:33:32 PM
Love Pawn Stars and Top Shot. I also enjoyed the Swamp people on Ax Men (or whatev its called).
2/16/2011 11:34:11 PM
BBC's Top Gear and the occasional forensic show are the only things on TV I'll even waste my time with. I've become so jaded with everything else, even my beloved Discovery networks are beginning to bore me. I'm reminded of why I never pay for or watch TV unless someone else I'm living with insists upon it. My inclination to continue doing so is waning rapidly in the face of more desirable financial expenditures...

u broke
2/17/2011 12:01:42 AM
It makes me miss the days when we chided it for being the World War II channel.
2/17/2011 12:17:51 AM
Military Channel is where it's at.
2/17/2011 12:24:31 AM
my tv pretty much stays on History Channel, History International, and Nat Geo.
2/17/2011 12:52:03 AM
I've fallen largely out of love with History and its affiliates, but I'll always check the listings to see what's coming on in a given day, because every now and then they do show something that's actually interesting and good. Also, I have it on good authority that one of the main founders was a big party guy back in the day who subsequently converted to Mormonism and cut off all contact with his former pals.
2/17/2011 1:26:15 AM
i miss "wings"... though there can only be so much war and military, else you'll burn people out. i would like to see a mix of shows though. something like 2-4 hours / day on military things (though they have the military channel right? that's where these shows have disappeared too) would be nice.... oh well... they need to make a HD military channel....oh well
2/17/2011 1:52:04 AM
No mention of Larry the Cable Guy being on the History Channel now?
2/17/2011 2:24:08 AM
i still like the history channel although a lot of the good wwII stuff is on the military history channel now...which i noticed has no commercials...weird
2/17/2011 8:45:37 AM
this show angered me so much, pretty much for the reasons Mr. Joshua noted. Worst show ever.
2/17/2011 8:46:24 AM
didn't you hear? history is made _every day_
2/17/2011 9:05:21 AM
The show with Larry the Cable Guy is actually quite good
2/17/2011 10:29:50 AM
at my house, we have TLC reality cooking competition shows on damn near 24/7i just hide in the spare room and practice guitar scales.
2/17/2011 11:11:24 AM
^^ It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. And it's definitely got more history than shows like Ax-Men.
2/17/2011 5:07:45 PM
Ancient Aliens is the shit, haters!
2/17/2011 5:11:14 PM
