February 27th is their last day. I'm sad. I won't really miss the bar aspect, but the food was pretty dank.I think all of next week they are offering all entrees for $10. If you sit outside, they give 10% to charity.

so what about Red Room and Hi-5 ? Don't they all have the same owners?
2/18/2011 8:54:39 AM
oversaturation of downtown bars/clubs. The collapse was inevitable!
2/18/2011 8:56:42 AM
as a bar, it got too ghetto for me
2/18/2011 8:59:49 AM
^^^ dean ogan owns rocky top hospitality which owns, michael deans (which is changing to another tribeca tavern) bogarts, hi-5, red room, twisted fork, mash house, tribeca tavern, and their catering/events place at the chophouse.lease is up on bogarts and he just doesn't want to renew it as far as I know other restaurants are ok.[Edited on February 18, 2011 at 9:00 AM. Bogarts is cool until about 10pm. After ten they switch from classic movies and jazz music to anything hip hop and a very crowded dance floor. I enjoy the early evening atmosphere that I will actually miss this place. Goodnight, sweet prince...

2/18/2011 10:36:35 AM

Their food was pretty good. Didn't care for it as a club though. The Sunday brunch was the best part--unfortunate that they're closing. Also unfortunate that Michael Dean's is no more. The times I went there everything was fantastic. Tribeca Tavern? I know not of this place, but if there's already one, does there really need to be another?
2/18/2011 9:11:15 PM
i think the other one is in cary, i believeso a raleigh one might make sensei guess[Edited on February 18, 2011 at 9:14 PM. Reason : .]

2/18/2011 11:37:05 PM

2/19/2011 12:52:42 PM
Rocky Top needs to step it up to match Empire.
2/19/2011 1:14:10 PM
Talked with a couple of the managers at Red Room, they're moving the Bogart's brunch on Sundays to Red Room. Said there was no plans to close Red Room or Hi-5.
2/19/2011 1:35:38 PM
Tribeca Tavern is indeed amazing. I've had a craving for one of their burgers all week.
2/19/2011 3:44:06 PM
had my rehearsal dinner there

I guess the drawback is it is in a location where I would have no reason to ever be near. I live just south of downtown and work in North Hills... what's the point in going out there?
2/19/2011 10:53:51 PM
ate there tonightnot bad for a farewell to bogarts meal
2/19/2011 10:58:50 PM
^^ true. where is the cary one? and i guess if the michael dean's turns into one that is still off like, falls of the neuse pretty far toward n raleigh.
2/19/2011 10:59:56 PM
High House and Davis... pretty close to the Chatham Co. line I think... convenient for the RTP, South Durham folks, but not for me.^ that's not too bad for downtown and ITB folks though... this one is like 20 minutes out at least.[Edited on February 19, 2011 at 11:03 PM. Reason : x]
2/19/2011 11:02:16 PM
ohhhh yea i know exactly where it is. i used to work @ the intersection of hh and davisthat is SUPER far away. and yea it is near the county line.
2/19/2011 11:04:04 PM
I will not miss the waitresses who assume that, when you hand her a $10 for a $4 beer, you want her to keep the change.
2/20/2011 2:09:44 AM
This thread made me go to Tribeca TavernFor that I am Thankful!
