White people with no insurance still wait less in the doctor's office than you:http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/ahcd/preliminary2008/table14.pdfBlack people with private insurance have more instances where they had to wait >1hr in the doctor's office than white people with NO insurance.

because black people usually arrive in body bags if they go to a hospital at all.[Edited on February 24, 2011 at 4:33 PM. Reason : f]

Not fair to count normal hospital visits to emergency room visits. You obviously are going to wait longer in an emergency room if your kid has the sniffles than for a reserved appointment.

Yeah I think it should be noted what type of injuries the person had.For example, when I went to the ER for abdominal pain I was waiting for at least 2-3 hours... when I had my 2nd degree burn and the lady could smell the oil on my skin, I was in an ER bed within 15-20 minutes and getting pain meds

When I had appendicitis the only reason we got seen within two hours was my mother called my pediatrician before heading to the hospital and she met us there. If it hadn't been for that I'd most likely be dead

I tend to think that type of stuff doesn't have a pronounced effect over entire categories such as race. Unless you think black people are going to the ER for non-serious reasons at a statistically significant level?

no, but I'm sure there are some cultural differences of when/who/why people go to the doctor/ED
2/24/2011 8:35:47 PM
if you go to the doctor and you don't have insurance- you're probably going to the hospital for something really serious....and people with insurance (in this case- white people) are reporting on wait time for their trip to the eye doctor.DUH. Statistics are so skewed.

according to this chart, black people never live past the age of 65.
