Money; its cost the taxpayers money to investigation the incident and then locate and remove your body from the water.

3/11/2011 1:12:17 PM
So the people that commit suicide and have no monies would be harming those family members that take on their debts?

You guys are really pushing it.It's really not complicated. If a person dies, don't expect your shit back.If a suicidal person lives, don't expect your shit back.
3/11/2011 1:16:02 PM
Suicide: not at all complicated. Right.
3/11/2011 1:16:53 PM
3/11/2011 1:17:22 PM
lol I hope you're a retarded troll
3/11/2011 1:17:46 PM
Suicide is pretty simple.
its a little different when a 90 year old dies of old age compared to a 30 year old blowing his brains out
3/11/2011 1:18:02 PM
Keeping people alive for your own emotions isn't really thinking about them at all. It's greedy and selfish.
3/11/2011 1:18:44 PM
isnt killing yourself greedy and selfish?
3/11/2011 1:20:17 PM

3/11/2011 1:22:02 PM
No it's not, it's removing yourself from the game. You're tired of playing.
3/11/2011 1:22:22 PM

most people who are suicidial do not WANT to die. they feel like there is no other option.
3/11/2011 1:39:58 PM
i think i am ok with like, "physician assisted suicide" (or the dr providing the drugs that you inject yourself, or whatever)it does hurt other people though but i mean if you can rationally and sanely make the choice, then go for it i guess. i am more for it in situations of suffering and illnesses where a person will never recover, but i am not against it being an option for healthy people i guess if they make the decision and haven't been declared to have some mental disorder/depression/etcbut jumping off buildings and bridges etc is too attention whorish and does cause problems for othersinvestigations, closing the bridge, body recovery, people who witness it might suffer distress, etc, etc if you REALLY want to commit suicide, just use medicine or blow your brains out at home. i feel like the people who jump off things are just trying to make a statement/be over dramatic.
3/11/2011 1:45:06 PM
^^maybe sobut I'd say most people who actually commit suicide to do want to die, or at least, its kind of impossible to assess one way or another, you know, since they're dead and we can't ask them[Edited on March 11, 2011 at 1:45 PM. Reason : ...]

MAJOR newsflash: not everyone that wants to die is depressedwhich is why i qualified my statements about supporting suicide w/ based on a rational decisionif you do research on states that have proposed physician assisted suicide measures (or death with dignity...pas kinda has a negative connotation for a lot of people) they usually have little "safeguards" in there about having the person undergo a psychological evaluation or whatever before being allowed to legally commit suicide (of course they could always just skip out on that and do it the old fashioned way, but whatevs)[Edited on March 11, 2011 at 1:57 PM. on behalf of stranger-to-me Stiletto, fuck his friends and their sad lives if they couldn't handle him wanting to check out
3/11/2011 2:14:34 PM
Nope.Didn't know the guy.But as someone who worked in an ER for a year, suicide fucking sucks. Your bravado is embarrassing.
3/11/2011 2:16:07 PM
Soylent Green ITT...Ignorant idealism from OP...who might be an intellectual/logical genius of sort, but appears to be very emotionally naive and retarded. In a world devoid of human emotion (and what you yourself might argue is a more evolved existence), suicide might not negatively impact society around you.In our real, flawed world, taking your own life does have an emotional impact...often a huge one. And it can be argued that taking your own life is every bit as selfish to others as their not wanting you to commit suicide is selfish toward you.

It's perfectly natural to want to end your life after losing a crappy pizza joint. My advice is go for it.
3/11/2011 2:26:35 PM
if someone no longer wants to live and consciously ceases to do so, then that's their businesshopefully in doing so they won't greatly inconvenience anyone else (traffic jam or whatever)i think this "culture of life" i hear people sometimes champion has more to do with a (subconscious perhaps) personal fear of death than anything else
