I'm a legacy internet user, obviously, but DIZZAAM this shit has got annoying over the years and I am fed up with it or I'll leave AOL. How do I disable this?

Is there an easy way to migrate my mail account to a new mail service. I hear Gmail is shitty and Yahoo is a little shiesty on the inbox space. Does Excite still do email, they wee good back in the day?
4/24/2011 5:56:32 PM
GMail is pretty good imome personally, I still have an old AOL account that I don't really use, but I have it tied into my Android, as well as my GMail account, as well as my various exchange email accounts, as well as my Yahoo accountSo I don't really care where my email comes, since it all comes to my phone
4/24/2011 5:58:28 PM
Ah thx, that's whats up.
4/24/2011 5:59:42 PM
people still use AOL?I'd be curious to know why people think gmail is shitty. I haven't had issues with them so far.

http://www.yippiemove.com/index.htmlTransfer your mail to gmail, export/import contacts, close your aol account.
4/24/2011 7:39:12 PM
a don't copy that floppy
4/24/2011 7:41:37 PM
if you're going to close your aol account, definitely make sure to let all of your contacts know that you're changing email addresses...and dont forget to login to every single website that that email address is tied into and change it...and go to every email list you're on that you care about and change your address there tooi'm too lazy i'd rather just keep my AOL account in addition to my others
4/24/2011 7:44:17 PM
I think I am gonna go with a Windows Live mail account. Its seems the most reasonable to me, given that I use a Windows Phone.
4/25/2011 5:05:58 PM
Man, I thought AOL went out around the time of the Y2K bug.

All this vitriol for dialup! All the haters are ditching it's atmospherical level of reliability for the vast pipes of cable and dsl. I was going somewhere with this post, but work distracted me. Long story short we took out dialup when we put in VOIP, but we're now putting it back in so we can dial in when tornadoes knock everything out for a 25 mile radius
