praying for his family
5/12/2011 1:26:50 PM
It was more than 12 bullets but Detective Young accidentally erased that evidence.
5/12/2011 1:27:50 PM
I agree...ammo is expensive
5/12/2011 1:28:06 PM
They shot at him when they thought he had a gun pointed at a hostage?
5/12/2011 1:28:07 PM
That's nothing. If this has taken place in Queens he would have been shot at least 30 times.
5/12/2011 1:29:11 PM
Sad story, but the cops did exactly what they should have in that situation.Bullets are cheap, lives are expensive; anything worth shooting once is worth shooting numerous times.
5/12/2011 1:31:47 PM
^agreed. If an individual threatens the life of another, instant approval for the 'use of deadly force' card.[Edited on May 12, 2011 at 1:33 PM. Reason : -]

I have no sympathy for the victim. Why the fuck would you pretend to point a gun at someone and think the police won't take you down.

is it possible that one bullet caused multiple wounds
5/12/2011 1:34:49 PM
Yes
5/12/2011 1:38:13 PM
I'm just curious as to why they would put the hostage in danger by firing a barrage of bullets at him.
5/12/2011 1:39:07 PM
5/12/2011 1:40:21 PM
12 bullets werent enough for this douchebag. He deserved every one of them.
5/12/2011 1:40:54 PM
^^are you fucking serious?

If a guy has a history of being mentally unstable and appears to be holding a gun to an innocent persons head, shooting them is exactly what you should do. Had they not shot him and had he had a gun and shot the hostage people would be bitching because the police let an innocent person die.

wondering if this is a troll thread....
5/12/2011 1:56:03 PM
He took hostages, said he had a gun, got shot. Seems pretty clear cut and rational to me. People would bitch if he had one hole in him, result is the same.[Edited on May 12, 2011 at 1:57 PM. Reason : ^ hope so]

suicide by cophe knew how it would end

Cary PD made it RAIN.As a taxpayer I totally support these methods and will happily fund future ammunition purchases.[Edited on May 12, 2011 at 3:11 PM. Reason : when it's time to pull the trigger we don't play]

wow im delightfully impressedtdubbers siding with the police for once

5/12/2011 3:22:18 PM
I seem to remember at least one of the officers using a semiautomatic weapon with a 3 round burst.
5/12/2011 3:29:51 PM
Um. That's not semiautomatic then, brah.
5/12/2011 3:36:19 PM
12 shots shows a tremendous amount of professionalism and restraint. Very well done.I have very little respect for cops in general. But when they do it right, we need to say so.
5/12/2011 3:45:41 PM
^^ Eh, whatever. That's irrelevant to the point I'm making.
5/12/2011 3:49:09 PM
12 shots couldnt drop mei took it and smiled
5/12/2011 3:56:17 PM
5/12/2011 4:37:13 PM
dude was black. For some reason, I'm not surprised Cary police did what they did. They probably haven't seen a black person in a while.

Only 12 shots, big disappointment. Garner police would of got at least 17 in him.
5/12/2011 7:35:24 PM

5/12/2011 11:42:08 PM
Great job by CPD on this oneI'll allow it
5/12/2011 11:49:33 PM
And taking hostages IS necessary?
