My mom just uploaded a public gallery titled "Little Miss Lucy Catherine Williams." It features lots of embarrassing pics from my childhood. And she "likes" all of my statuses.Dear God, please keep my father off that site.

yeah, i still have not added my parents
5/25/2011 4:42:19 PM
My mom's on Facebook, but it doesn't really bother me. And frankly, *I* upload embarrassing pictures of her instead of the other way around.
5/25/2011 4:44:25 PM
My Dad is more into Facebook and Twitter than I am.But he's respectful about mostly staying away from my statuses or wall posts.Though he did "Like" anything Rapture related.
5/25/2011 4:44:33 PM
my mom asked the other day (in a thick Indian accent), "how do i see the facebooks?" my sister and I promptly informed her of the fact that people her age are not allowed to "see the facebooks".
5/25/2011 4:44:48 PM
haha ya my parents are not on it but my aunt friended me once I ignored.
5/25/2011 4:48:50 PM
SERIOUSLY I woke up this morning to facebook invites from my MOM on where to find the best PORN videos on the internet and her profile was filled with porn videosI had to call her at 7am and get her to remove them
5/25/2011 4:51:29 PM
hahahahahhahai hope this is real
5/25/2011 4:53:00 PM
parents have no interest in being on there. i have a few aunts and uncle on there, but i know they don't check anything
5/25/2011 4:54:20 PM
i have several aunts and uncles on there but i also give them fair word of warning before i add them.i tell every single one....in person (not via message) that sometimes i cuss, i have drunken photos, etc etc and while i dont feel it anything they would disown me for - it's something they probably wouldn't approve. it has worked thus far (crosses fingers)[Edited on May 25, 2011 at 4:57 PM. My mom is on there more than me. It's how she keeps up with the family when isolated in Podunk NC.
5/25/2011 4:57:25 PM
my grandparents tried to add me on facebook
5/25/2011 5:11:12 PM
I've let my mother in, and I'd probably let Dad in too if he were on Facebook.
5/25/2011 5:33:45 PM
my parents are added with limited visibility to my profile.limited in the "they can't see pics, or wall posts, or anything of substance" but they're added so they don't say i didn't add them
5/25/2011 5:43:47 PM
I really haven't got a reason to hide from family on facebook.
5/25/2011 6:01:09 PM
^^Me too.
5/25/2011 6:29:48 PM
My sister refuses to add my parents while I don't really care since I generally don't post anything too scandalous.
5/25/2011 6:37:22 PM
I actually MADE my mother a Facebook account and she had it for a month before she decided that it was pointless.Reverse psychology
5/25/2011 6:41:28 PM
My parents both have one but neither have added me and I haven't added them.I'd have no problem accepting if they added me, but I'm not going to go out of my way to do it.
5/25/2011 6:45:16 PM
most of my family is on there but I don't mind. I won't cuss and moniter my page solely because of my 16 year old cousin though
5/25/2011 6:50:11 PM
i don't have much to hide on facebook, but i refuse to add any relatives in a prior generation as friends. it's entirely for the principle of the thing (even though i could limit their ability to interact with me in any way, shape, or form). my aunt is terribly offended, but my parents don't have facebook, so they don't care.
5/25/2011 6:51:58 PM
thank goodness my parents hate facebook. and texting.
5/25/2011 7:12:24 PM
my granny asked my sister to delete her facebook because i posted a video of a girl signing the cee-lo song fuck you, she posted that it should be deleted, and i responded with "no, i put an explicit language warning on it, sorry"
5/25/2011 7:14:44 PM
I pretty much stopped facebooking when my parents joined. I went back deleted all incriminating photos, and backed slowly out.I'll add that both my moms facebook a ton, and constantly nag me for not posting or liking there shit.[Edited on May 25, 2011 at 7:39 PM. Reason : .]

My brother and I both told our mom that it would be in no one's best interest for her to be FB friends with us.
5/25/2011 7:41:53 PM
Oh man. The FB thing was kind of a mess for me. My dad (about to turn 69 years old) sent me a friend request like a year ago. I didn't think much of it because I figured he wasn't going to use it after the novelty wore off. Well he proceeded to annoy the shit out of me, my cousins, and a few of my friends that he kind of knows. He didn't understand that constantly clicking the "like" button and commenting on everything is just annoying and against unspoken etiquette. It all came to a head when I posted a pic on FB of a female friend (we never dated or anything). I took the pic on her birthday when we all went out with a few people. The caption just said "[name]'s birthday" as the caption. Then he posts "so where does she fit in the scheme of things?" AWKWARD. Then one of my mom's friends who had added me posts "no pressure though" obviously in jest. After that I told my dad he needs to stop blowing people's facebook up and he didn't get what the big deal is. I tried explaining to him the whole "world's colliding" aspect but he didn't fully get it. I restricted what he could see but he still annoys my cousins and my friends.[Edited on May 25, 2011 at 9:00 PM. Reason : .]

Parents haven't joined yet and I doubt they ever will. My aunt did friend me. I blocked her from viewing any pictures she shouldn't see, and I don't post statuses often enough to worry about posting something she shouldn't see.
