Yeah, but he totally considered it which takes a lot of work for some people.

I was actually talking to someone about healthcare about a month ago and said that this was going to start happening

No street cred in prison.

With the cost of medical care these days he'd have to get pretty lucky via the charities to fix his problems. Food and shelter he could get sure, but not real medical care. The really dumb thing about this as far as being a taxpayer goes is we could have just paid for his health care but now we're paying to house him in a jail, too.

he'll get free stitches when his asshole is ripped apart

i'd just get it looked at, pay for it via credit cards, then declare bankruptcy.i mean what does he have to lose?

Its gonna suck to get 50000hours of community service and a P.O.[Edited on June 20, 2011 at 6:17 PM. Reason : you have to have credit to get a credit card]

I always said if I ended up homeless and destitute, I would rob a store/bank and just wait for the police so I can collect my 3 meals a day and a bed to sleep on.Looks like this guy's thinking wasn't too far offAnd he said he would do the crime again if he didn't get jail time. So eventually he'll get it[Edited on June 20, 2011 at 6:17 PM. Reason : s]

I'd consider going to jail for more than a few months to be a terrible experience. Not that I couldn't cut it there or that the conditions are torturous; it's just the thought of being controlled in every way that I absolutely hate. The idea that someone would willingly give up their freedom in exchange for food or medical care is absurd to me.Good luck getting another job (you know, that thing that gives most people money to pay for their healthcare) after becoming a convicted felon. He just threw any chance of bettering himself out the window. ^ I'll be sure to drink a cold beer on the beach in your honor while you sit in a cell getting free food and a crappy bed to sleep on.[Edited on June 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM. I guess some people would rather be in jail and alive than die earlier a free man

yes Ernie?

Would've been baller if he asked for the money in small unmarked bills

Sadly, shit like this happens all the time. It is really common up north for homeless people to commit petty crimes at the beginning of winter so they have a roof over their heads during the cold months.
