Going to be in town for a dinner this weekend and was looking for a good place to get some more exotic meats, ie venison, ostrich and bison. Not looking to break the bank, but I'm willing to pay for quality.

There's a vendor at the Farmer's Market with all that stuff.

You know, they say ostrich has less fat, but you eat more of it.
7/7/2011 4:25:31 PM
If you weren't on a time constraint I would recommend Coon Rock Farm. They have some great meat.Would goat fit your bill? If so you could go to one of the many halal butchers around NCSU and pick some up.

There is a little tienda down off s. saunders that has the best butcher I have come across in raleigh, hands down. Can't remember the name of it atm, I'll see if I can come up with it

7/7/2011 7:27:30 PM
Welcome to Good Butcher home of the Good Butcher, can I take your order?
7/7/2011 7:31:05 PM
I can get a hell of a good look at a T-Bone steak by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.
