even has a compass and mini survival kit in the handle.

7/10/2011 10:13:44 PM
SaabTurbo would never buy an $18 knife.
7/10/2011 10:13:47 PM
I have a much better Kershaw, but I couldn't let that huge knife go for only $18. I mean shit if I have a blacksmith melt it down the metal alone is worth $18.
7/10/2011 10:16:12 PM
hahahahahahahaha
7/10/2011 10:19:27 PM
amirite
7/10/2011 10:20:05 PM
Where is SaabTurbo? The knife looks like one of his.
7/10/2011 10:50:41 PM
Trust me that is not one of his; it has a damn yarn handle.
7/10/2011 11:00:37 PM
Does the yarn come off for survival shit.
7/10/2011 11:02:27 PM
gosh i hope you dont fall on that or something
7/10/2011 11:02:43 PM
you twist the cap off the end of the handle to get the compass and survival kit (water proof matches, sand paper, fishing line, fishing hook, band aid and that is all I think)
7/10/2011 11:07:55 PM
7/10/2011 11:09:24 PM
it's a really new concept, google it
7/10/2011 11:09:53 PM
They aren't ruined if they get wet
7/10/2011 11:10:08 PM
although the cap has an O Ring to keep it all dry; so I guess the matches are in case you have them out and it rains or you drop them.
7/10/2011 11:13:22 PM
I have a survival knife with a hollow handle too but the bolt that holds the blade in came loose and I have no pliers long/thin enough to tighten it so it wobbles all over the place now.
7/10/2011 11:16:16 PM
This is one of those knives that every kid buys after about 2 weeks in boy scouts.
7/10/2011 11:16:24 PM
No this is the knife you see at the beach in some store like Waves and you buy it because you're bored. Also just the blade is 10", I doubt any first time boy scout's parents are going to like it.^^ I haven't gotten that involved with this knife yet. Should be funny on camping trips though, but I'd carry my Kershaw 3" and leave that huge ass thing in my bag.[Edited on July 10, 2011 at 11:33 PM. Reason : .]

today I was outside with this thing and I realize the serrated edge is sharper than the actual blade.you could probably cut a tree down with it if somehow another person could pull from the other side.

sorry to disappoint
7/11/2011 11:01:25 AM
sand paper? In case you're lost in the woods and need to finish a shaker end table? Does it have survival varnish too?
7/11/2011 11:05:21 AM
