What's up with every scene the DEA's wife is in there's always the color purple. Either her clothes, or their linens, or a bag on the counter. Is it just her favorite color or is there some deeper meaning behind it?

Just started watching this show, still early in the first season. My dad mentioned that it was a good show back when it was first on, but just have recently gotten onto it... I had nightmares last night (we watch online TV before bed)
