The pledge of allegiance was written by a socialist. Since it's official adoption, we've changed it twice to distance ourselves from:a) Nazis, by changing from the bellamy salute pictured below to hand over heart.b) Commies, by adding "under God".Before that, we even clarified the wording so those silly immigrants wouldn't get confused about which flag they were actually pledging to.AMURICA

8/10/2011 10:28:28 PM

I remember prayer in school and the pledge. Then again I was also told in eighth grade health that AIDS was sent to earth to punish gay people.
8/11/2011 12:16:22 AM
Not only that but in elementary school (Charlotte) I got to go to the office more than once and lead the entire school in the pledge over the pa. Oh, and we had to do it in ROTC in high school. Nowadays I find saying some sort of pledge to be kinda creepy especially since the only justification for doing so is "because it's patriotic".
8/11/2011 12:17:32 AM
see, I can get the ROTC classes doing it. that's the only place I ever saw it done.but then again, I went to a football game in Hendersonville and went all when they had a prayer at midfield before the game.
8/11/2011 12:19:01 AM
When I was in 1st grade we said the pledge of allegiance every morning and prayer before lunch every afternoon. I remember there would always be one kid that told on another kid for not having their eyes closed during prayer. Silly kids. and I went to Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Clarkton, NC
8/11/2011 12:25:25 AM
How the fuck would they know someone didn't have their eyes closed, if they, too didn't have their eyes closed.Fucking dumb asses.

"Today I learned"That quote means a lot because what you learned today didn't exist to you yesterday. Yet, you will view America in a whole new light. What does that mean for all of the stuff you have never learned? And what does that mean for all of the false information that people could potentially inject into your life of learning?[Edited on September 13, 2011 at 9:47 PM. Iredell county, late 90s: pledge of allegiance in the morning, the lord's prayer in the locker room before football games.
