Captain KirkAs the popular phrase says, a picture is worth a thousand words. With that, I give you this.Thank you.

They all had good things about them. Kirk was the original - a real maverick that did what needed to be done in a different socio-political time. He wasn't afraid to fight or make sweet love as the situation called for, and in the cold-war way of thinking in the 23rd century, his sharp decisiveness (which some might misinterpret as moral ambiguity) built his legacy and propelled the federation into a new age of peace and prosperity.Picard is the archetype of a scholarly, wise leader with sharp wit and a diplomatic persona that is necessary in the mature and somewhat stale political structure the federation is a part of in the times before the dominion war. Picard was a flagship captain on the flagship of the federation, and was just what the federation needed in order to expand it's utopian ideals, and when shit hit the fan - and sometimes it was some deep shit - Jean Luc was a resilient negotiator and a even-keeled captain that often was able to get his ship and the federation out of trouble with minimal physical force. (but when force was needed, he did not hesitate to use it.)Sisko: At first resenting his role as an officer after the death of his wife (^because of that guy), he was sent to the farthest frontier post, hoping to resign his service soon enough, but that was not to be his fate. He was thrust into the most tumultuous position a federation officer could ever envision... in an environment where the lines of good, evil, right, and wrong were completely blurred and overlapped. Siskos growth was tremendous as he soon embraced his position of a religious leader, military commander, and eventual savior of the alpha quadrant from the dominion. Sisko, in short, was a bad-ass. Janeway: Scientifically the most competent captain, with a grating voice and over-idealistic moral values that placed her crew in constant jeopardy, yet somehow she managed to get her crew through the delta quadrant and all the hornets nests (kazon, borg, etc) she stirred up. Archer: Test pilot and a true explorer in every sense. His potential sadly outshined his accomplishments due to the most ferocious enemy any trek captain has ever faced: Brannon Braga.

Picard got my vote, because those episodes were the most thrilling to me. I never liked Janeway - too cold and very impressed with herself. What I like in Picard is his phylosophical trait and the very good manners, for a captain it must be very important to get respect and to have the trust of the crew. I really think Picard had it all. I never really liked Kirk much (Scotty was doing all the real work and he was collecting the honors).

Han Solo for obvious reasons.

I'm going to say that Picard was the best. But the movie Picard, not the pussy TV show Picard. He is at his peak when he shoots until he can't shoot anymore and then decides to ram the remainder of the ship into his enemies, not when he has some philosophical monologue.Plz to send invite now.
