i must be the only at&t customer to have no complaints. I always have good coverage, my iphone has never dropped a call, and it's been cheaper than when I was with verizon. I'm happy.
@op, you are the first person to have had these thoughts.^yeah when we had iphones w/ at&t they actually worked a lot better than the ones we have w/ verizon now. [Edited on September 8, 2011 at 3:29 PM. Reason : ]

AT&T was crap back when I used it 2004-2006. Can't imagine it's gotten much better since then.
9/8/2011 3:30:01 PM
heh...you guys must not have any insider information on them...or must use your phones differently than i do....i have 2 phones on my account, one of which is wireless voice only, the other does little browsing or txting but is a smart phone and i average about 150 bucks a month on my bill and never go over, i also have to go outside of my house to make a phone call.
9/8/2011 3:32:23 PM
the people in my service area get better service from prepaid phones than i do from my contract phone...and to the faggot that posted waaaambulance....i put "/rant" in the post...fuck you if you cant read.
9/8/2011 3:33:29 PM
$150/month Well I guess for two phones that's not too bad. I pay $100/month for two phones on Sprint.
9/8/2011 3:34:13 PM
for the services i use...prepaid or tmobile or any of the other carriers offer comparable service for about 75 a month with two phones...ive worked closely with att in more than their wireless area and knew many people who worked for them, they are a very shitty company, just do some market research into how they conduct their internal business...
9/8/2011 3:35:44 PM
i pay $85/month for two phones (one with unlimited data) on verizon...but that's with a legacy alltel plan that beats the crap out of anything but sprint's SERO[Edited on September 8, 2011 at 3:38 PM. Reason : at least, from what i've seen/heard]

for those who want to know what really goes on behind the closed doors...check out this website, i didnt post it....nor can i say that they are specifically talking about att.....http://www.thedailyconfession.com/?s=insider[Edited on September 8, 2011 at 3:43 PM. Reason : privacy]

Pretty sure most people know by now AT&T is a crappy company. This isn't exactly a groundbreaking newsflash.
9/8/2011 3:41:24 PM
I have never had a single major issue with AT&T; their service, customer service, or store. I hear about it all the time, but my experience has always been great and i've been with them for over 10 years. The only place I don't get great service is in my office, but that's a problem every tenant here has due to the building construction. And every provider has the same issue here.Hell my girlfriend lost her phone a few weeks back and we cancelled the plan over the phone, and were in the store the next morning getting it replaced. Her phone was no longer available but they gave her a brand new 4G blackberry 3 days before its street date release for the same price as the old model.]

news flash....at a cellular tower....only one, sometimes two companies run a hard line to it that transverses the cellular signal to hard wire to transmit it....yet there are countless carriers carried from the cell tower...so....that being said...how can any one carrier have less reception than any other unless it stems from their hardware at the cellular tower??? also...if the hardwired/in ground phone system is att that feeds the tower....why would any other carrier on that tower have a better signal...?

I had ATT while in college, but because of their horrible reception I moved to verizon. But i just switched back to aTT this year in order to get a discount on the iphone. So far I have no complaints, but I think its because my iphone is so awesome.

also sounds like your original phone problem was more Apple's issue than AT&T's.
9/8/2011 3:52:22 PM
Dead2thewrldYou're getting shitty service b/c AT&T thinks you're dead, and most likely a zombie. As we don't want the zombies to communicate efficiently with each other, I'm glad that you're having horrible service with AT&T. Also, you should probably read some of FroshKiller's posts.
9/8/2011 3:54:14 PM
The only people I know that think AT&T service is good are people that never travel.
9/8/2011 3:54:47 PM
I travel and i find AT&T service coverage be better than those of other GSM carriers. I also travel overseas and find coverage by CDMA carriers vistually nonexistent. Yes in some rural areas AT&T gets weak or no signal, but if you live in those areas you probably already own a CB radio.

there's really no excuse to look down at your phone when you're driving from Raleigh to Chapel Hill on I-40 to see the msg on your screen saying "no signal".

I've had some coverage issues when traveling, but as far as customer service is concerned, I've never had an issue. That said, I'm currently listening to my co-worker go apeshit trying to deal with them.
9/8/2011 4:24:51 PM
you should probably switch to the carrier whose customers are happyin other words, move to another continent

out in RM, we had good coverage with at&t but if you left, you were screwed. never had any dropped calls though & i've had tons of them now with verizon. i can sit at my desk at work or chair at home & watch the signal indicator go from Verizon 3G to Extended to Verizon o (wtf does the circle mean anyway). i have not seen it read No Signal though, so i guess that's good.i agree though. there is no reason for any sort of gap on a highway like i40 or 95 or 64.

9/8/2011 4:30:20 PM
I have to go outside my house to make phone calls. I fucking hate ATT.
9/8/2011 4:41:54 PM
Actually have great service from AT&T except in the dorms, cinderblock kills my signal like woah so I need to keep it closer to the window.

^good luck. they will not stop charging you until you've fought for a while.hell, I never had an account under my name, but I guess because my roommate did, they somehow got my number and started harassing me about paying "my account" which was some random account I wasn't associated with.

interesting, ATT is the only coverage that has remotely worked well for me; this was through my net10 phone, FYI never get tmobile or boostmobile (whatever network they use) if you live in chapel hill/carrboro[Edited on September 8, 2011 at 5:46 PM. Reason : k]
