I swam in a bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico. A jellyfish stung my homegirl and these dolphins came up and were like swimming all around us. Then I lost my glasses on the boat and I had to drive home wearing my prescription sunglasses. We were driving through this little village on the Caribbean side of the island and there were all these people out in the road and I rolled through with the windows down looking all badass with my sunglasses on at midnight. It was pretty tight. + 1 for Bioluminscent swimming experiences.[Edited on October 4, 2011 at 11:02 PM. Reason : l]

^ I, too, have been to the Bioluminescense Bay in Puerto RicoI didn't swim as they don't allow it any more (Apparently the sunscreen and such from people like you were killing it all). We just got to kayak through itCool stuff, though. The algae in the bay lit up green, though

When did you go? I was there 11 months ago. We swam for about an hour each at two different reefs and then they fed us these tight little fried pie things, gave us as much beer as we could drink while we waited for it to get dark, took us to the bay, and let us swim as long as we wanted. And I'm pretty sure it was $64 each + tip. Pretty good deal IMO.[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 12:13 AM. Reason : l]

Hmm...I was there in June of 2010 I believe. Maybe it was just the bay i was in? (Not sure if there are multiple ones?)All I remember is that it was located near El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo (we walked to it). They told us swimming wasn't allowed because it hurt the otherwise 'isolated' ecosystem. I, too, lost a set of glasses in the bioluminescent bay that day As far as not swimming, did those fuckers lie to me? [Edited on October 5, 2011 at 12:32 AM. Reason : ]

Just Googled Mapped it...We definitely weren't near Fajardo. We were staying in San Juan and it was quite a drive. I remember going South to Ponce and then at least 30-50 minutes west. La Parguera sounds right just looking at the maps, but I can't remember where we were exactly.
