hahaha I must admit I feel just slightly ~ if I'm carrying around a Diet Dr. Pepper...never knew why or cared enough to change my purchase but the thought always crosses my mind. Now that I think about it though the labeling and color scheme is kind of effeminate, even the bottle shape is not exactly masculine or even neutral. But I'm sure I'll give this DP10 crap a shot out of curiosity. It cracks me up to see such categorically gender-neutral products so pointedly marketed

I don't get it either. I do find the over the top ads slightly amusing, or at least I did. Now I don't care really, and still won't be buying this other than perhaps once to see how awful it is or isn't. Now if this was Mt. Dew I'd have to reign in the wife from buying a dozen cases.

I'm not sure why Dr. Pepper doing this is shocking.Coca Cola - Diet Coke - Coke ZeroPepsi - Diet Pepsi - Pepsi One - Pepsi Max - Pepsi Throwback (which does taste pretty damn good)Dr. Pepper - Diet Dr. Pepper - Dr. Pepper 10They're just following the market trend. As far as the commercials go, IMHO Dr. Pepper just seems like they've been "trying to hard" ever since they resurrected Kiss.

It's not shocking that they've created the product it's absurd that they've chosen to market it this way. and not in a "oh well you're still talking about it so it must have worked!!!111" way either.

Nothing in marketing shocks me anymore ever since I saw the Head-On commercials. That proved to me that no level of stupidity is below a marketing firm.
