hemp is not the same thing as marijuana, now that it is sequenced researchers can isolate the gene or combination of genes that produce the cannabinoid receptor proteins. Then they can genetically alter hemp to have no affect if you should choose to smoke it or use genetic markers to determine whether the THC and CBB are present in levels that can induce a high.[Edited on December 16, 2011 at 12:49 AM.
