i assume sooner is better (the most expensive tickets are those closest to the travel date), but when you've got more than a month, when's the best time to buy tickets?i've heard that tuesdays have the (historically) lowest fare and discounted tickets are pulled on the weekends, so you pay more...those of you who fly frequently (and buy your own tickets), have you observed this to be (generally) true?on wednesday, tickets were $135/each, one way...now they're $157 trying to decide if i should buy them now before they get higher (closer to the date) or wait until next week (the whole discounted fare during the week thing)

BIGGER ISN'T ALWAYS BETTER

Where are you flying to/from? How many stops are you willing to make? Those 2 questions are usually more important than the time you book.
