This little red screech owl was at the State Fair last time, so if you saw an owl there, this was him:(didn't get any good shots of the snakes unfortunately)

Make one Duke Lemur Center thread, one Carolina Tiger rescue thread, one Piedmont Wildlife center thread, a few other animal related threads, and suddenly everyone thinks you're all about nature

Just back from a cabin trip:Didn't snap a lot of pics, it was more of an afterthought. But the night sky was pretty cool out there. We found a painfully and hilariously bad $5 cabin trip horror movie at the grocery store that had the 4 of us cracking up. Wish I could have stayed longer.

What is the piedmont wildlife festival?
5/11/2012 11:02:29 PM
Piedmont Wildlife Rescue is a nonprofit that rehabilitates wildlife, provides mmedical care, maybe helps preserve species, and has a large educational component for the kids (hiking, maybe camping, species identification, etc). I know they've cut back on some stuff, but this annual festival is part fundraising part educational.
