for me, it's the way the imagery and editing mesh with the music completely. i mean completely. like the way you wonder what came first, the film 2001 a space Odyssey or the music. yeah i think its good enough to compare to that. I also really dig the the throwback to 80's style futuristic hero action films with 90's over the top campy ultra-violence and flashy introduction of each prospective protagonists awesome skillz.
the part where the dude cuts off three zombie heads in one swing seems to illustrate that best.
but the dude with the ghetto blaster bazooka geting taken out is pretty amazing as well
