^ This. I get holiday pay for working on Christmas...that's about it. Not even double time, just time and half.
12/4/2012 10:11:11 PM
not since i've been self-employed
12/4/2012 10:13:45 PM
they used to give a bonus, but now they deposit 3.5% of your income into your retirement account
12/4/2012 10:13:50 PM
I wish.Academia. Sucks.
12/4/2012 10:18:02 PM
Biannual bonus based solely on individual performance metrics. Company barely breaking even but I'm killing it? Thanks for the bonus check.
12/4/2012 10:37:21 PM
8-9% annual performance bonus plus Christmas eve to new years pto
12/4/2012 10:43:13 PM
My wife gets a 2$ bill as a christmas bonus. 5 years in a row now her boss has given one to each teacher at her school.
12/4/2012 10:43:39 PM
I get an annual bonus but it's always at the end of the fiscal year in June.
12/4/2012 10:45:31 PM

12/4/2012 10:55:20 PM
12/4/2012 11:33:56 PM
My boss gives us each a bag of chocolate balls from Germany every year when he gets back from his month long vacation in Europe
12/4/2012 11:39:35 PM
We've got some small, results-driven contests for the end of the year. One pays out at the end of the year and one will payout mid-Jan. Our yearly bonuses don't payout until late Feb/early Mar.I wish I was forced PTO for two weeks during the year though. Only day I get off around now is Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Probably why we start w/ 3 wks paid vacation.[Edited on December 5, 2012 at 1:59 AM. Reason : adsf]
12/5/2012 1:55:53 AM
No. I get a month of unpaid, involuntary "vacation".

Christmas bonuses are different than performance bonus. I get performance bonuses, but everyone here also gets a 5% bonus entirely independent of performance for Christmas.
12/5/2012 7:05:05 AM
Nope
12/5/2012 7:50:27 AM
$500 and an extra day off.
12/5/2012 8:39:58 AM
Surprisingly, yes. It's not much, but I'm thankful for it, since I'm not really in a typical position that would receive a bonus.[Edited on December 5, 2012 at 8:52 AM. Reason : s]
12/5/2012 8:45:55 AM
Previous years I would. Now I'd imagine not.
12/5/2012 9:01:41 AM
AT one of my first jobs out of school I got $200 each christmas. Little did I know that isn't how mos places roll. Now I get shit.
12/5/2012 9:35:39 AM
I get an annual performance bonus on December 15th, its 15% this year, plus profit sharing in the 401k (not sure what its going to be yet) As far as an actual Christmas bonus, we don't get much, 2 chickens and a bag of potatoes and they usually give us something at the Christmas party. Last year it was a $50 gift card, and they had a name drawing for a tv and some other random stuff. Last year we lost a bunch of money though, and this year we made a huge profit, so I'm kind of excited to see what they'll give us at the party.
12/5/2012 1:04:17 PM
no bonuses...but no forced PTO like my last job, since we just get the week and a half off
12/5/2012 1:13:02 PM

12/5/2012 1:14:05 PM
Well, I have hot chow again instead of rations, so...yes?
