I always wonder how people that eat/drink to such extremes manage to pay for it. Most of these people are light years beyond the morbidly obese term and can't work...Minimum 5 big bottles of Coke per day. Let's assume 2 dollars. 10 bucks a day. She's spending 300 dollars a month on Coke alone.

it seems like the UK is well on its way to becoming Mississippi.

The Brits are the first to talk shit about Americans being fat/overweight (which is totally true), but from what I've seen they have a disproportionately large share of fatties themselves. British tourists are absolutely disgusting pigs that put butter, cheese, and mayo on everything in sight.
2/13/2013 10:27:10 AM
I thought the same thing at first just looking at the link
2/13/2013 10:28:01 AM
^^yeah, I wasn't really aware of how much they've collectively become so bad until recently, but they still try that holier-than-thou bullshit like they aren't the most obese nation in the EU.just a matter of time before they surpass the US.

Natural selection is reversing in humans. The people who should not be breeding are having the most kids and those who have decent genes have become smart enough to realize having that many kids is fucking stupid.

Well it's more along the lines of we have developed so many programs and advances in technology that people that normally would never make it to adulthood are now making it there and then turning around and having 8 kids. Those 8 kids, if left to those parents, would have little chance except for govt assistance and such and next thing you know they all have 8 kids etc. I am not advocating this as wrong its just how things are going. On the other hand more and more couples very capable of taking care of children and what most people would consider good genes are having few or no kids at all. *I have no scientific proof to backup this claim it is mostly from observation.

That pretty much sums it up haha

So random thoughts:The woman was not morbidly/grossly obese at all. If she was morbidly obese, then her dying of a heart attack would not be a story regardless of how much Coke she drank. They have a serious cola problem in the UK. On the British diet shows, the "before" diet of the people almost always includes incredible quantities of cola, and they say it like it's just a bad habit: "I dunno...I drink maybe 2, 3 liters a day. I should probably try and cut back..."Nobody is saying how long she carried on this Coke obsession, and I think that would be interesting to know. I can easily relate to an extreme crutch like this that lasts a couple weeks or even a couple months, but whatever the real problem is should eventually cease, and the crutch should go along with it. But with 8 kids...I dunno...Ms. Harris clearly had some mental health issues. So it's pretty lazy of you guys to chalk this one up to fat/stupid.
2/13/2013 11:00:10 AM
Having mental health issues does not preclude one from being stupid as shit.
2/13/2013 11:05:00 AM
She probably is stupid. But you still can't chalk it up to stupid.
2/13/2013 11:06:55 AM
If cocaine was legal she could have moved on to a more slenderizing addiction.
2/13/2013 11:16:19 AM
would drinking this much water harm you?
2/13/2013 11:58:34 AM
^Just as long as you don't hold your pee too long it would probably be fine. I'd think it would actually be pretty healthy since most people don't drink nearly enough water.
2/13/2013 12:00:15 PM
doesnt it deplete vitamins and minerals after that much?

I, for one, content that it is not the caffeine. A Starbucks tall ordinary coffee is 0.25 g. That's 12 oz.http://www.energyfiend.com/the-complete-guide-to-starbucks-caffeineSo with just 4 cups per day you'll be up to a gram. Some people drink much more than this. Not most, but it's not uncommon.
