I hope they cancel the fucking Daytona 500. Fuck it, cancel the whole season. Bunch of bullshit.Glad they're interviewing every driver to ask them what they saw. Gotta make sure we hear about how the underarmor, taxslayer.com team viewed this.[Edited on February 23, 2013 at 4:20 PM. Reason : sdfsdf]

I get Time Warner with ESPN News and ESPN 3 streaming, but neither of them were working for me. So I've got a lot of extra hate right now. Fortunately, I had a big lunch so I'm feeling too lethargic to hit anybody. I will shout slurs from the couch though.
2/23/2013 4:52:40 PM
Lol a lot of hate over an event that draws better ratings than basketball. Why would you want to watch nc state lose anyhow?
2/23/2013 4:57:55 PM
I know you're trolling, but.... I doubt that the 25 minutes of non-event post race interviews would draw better ratings than a basketball game.
2/23/2013 5:08:31 PM
two of the nascar fans are in critical condition.im glad youre so excited about your little basketball game though.
2/23/2013 5:20:27 PM
A fucking car went into the catch fence with an engine in the stands while ESPN are blazing this fact on their family of channels. You can't be serious about what you said. IndyCar in 2011 had a driver die. They were bringing in sub 1.0 ratings all season long, bar the Indy 500. That race had the highest ratings, with them peaking after the incident. Never doubt the interest people have in morbidity. 24/7 News networks exist to fuel this interest.

Well congratulations savage!

Your feigned sense of outrage and faux smug superiority is cute. You don't give a shit about those people and you know it.Not sure what good is being done or what information is being given when they won't actually talk about fans being injured, show a replay, or show medical vehicles. Just go on to the next thing, no need for 25 minutes of people talking about how they don't know if the fans are ok.Also, yeah, I want to see the game, I don't care if those fans are hurt.[Edited on February 23, 2013 at 5:52 PM. ^^I was out at that point and didn't know it was on another channel. I got the place to run through ESPN2, their alternates, and news a couple times and didn't see it (must not have been on at the times they flipped through) and they just stopped back on ESPN again when they couldn't find it. Eventually I saw on here via my phone that it was in fact on ESPN news and got them to switch but the half was mostly over. The annoying thing with this kind of coverage though, is that a lot of people will feign interest in the well-being of the injured, when in reality you know they're quietly hoping to find out more people were injured or that some were killed. I just never find this type of TV coverage particularly useful or entertaining.[Edited on February 23, 2013 at 6:28 PM. Reason : ]

So I know NASCAR isn't liable for incidents like this but wouldn't it be worthy of their time to send a driver over to the hospital to check on the seriously injured? Maybe give them free tickets to a race or something? For the good PR if nothing else
2/23/2013 6:29:14 PM
I'm sure they'll do something like that. Are you saying that they won't?
2/23/2013 6:47:28 PM
PR 101... I don't even understand the point of that post
2/23/2013 6:53:54 PM
