Does anyone here make it? What is your recipe? Do you leave a bowl outside to catch snow or do you go scoop it up?
1/28/2014 10:50:00 AM
Scoop it. Don't remember the exact recipe...but I know it included snow, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.

1/28/2014 10:52:18 AM
I'm pretty sure my mom made it with sweetened condensed milk.
1/28/2014 10:52:30 AM
wait until several inches have fallen before taking your snow!
1/28/2014 10:57:34 AM
it really doesn't matter, its still polluted shit you don't want to eat
1/28/2014 11:01:19 AM
Hmmm considering grabbing some condensed milk and vanilla on the way home now...
1/28/2014 11:02:21 AM
Sounds about as good as a mayonnaise sandwich.
1/28/2014 11:03:05 AM
Sounds like drinking a nice big glass of rainwater.
1/28/2014 11:05:11 AM
Scoop it. No exact recipe. Milk, sugar, vanilla to taste
1/28/2014 11:19:29 AM
I don't know about Raleigh, but sweetened condensed milk is sold out at the grocery stores in Greenville. People are freaking out on FB, but I always had it with milk, sugar, vanilla, and raw egg. Not that I'm giving up my can of sweetened condensed milk hanging out in the pantry because I may give it a shot.
1/28/2014 11:42:08 AM
have fun eatin dirt, yall.
1/28/2014 11:46:00 AM
Some dumasses I know tried to say that the 'THE FIRST SNOW HAS COME AND GONE' when I told that the snow needed to come down quite a bit in THIS snow system before they should consume because of pollution. I was like wow, and said 'OK' ... I ROTMFFL
1/28/2014 11:49:00 AM
Ive heard there is a difference between caught and scooped. Never made it so cant say myself. be interested in making it though. Might go grab some stuff to make it with this afternoon.
1/28/2014 12:02:54 PM
^^ wat
1/28/2014 12:09:02 PM
there is more danger with snow directly in contact with the ground than snow scooped from the top...either way, snow is a lot safer now that lead has been removed from most gasoline.
1/28/2014 12:16:22 PM
Wouldn't this just end up being cold sweet milk?
1/28/2014 12:32:39 PM
...mixed with rainwater
1/28/2014 12:48:47 PM

milk, sugar, couple raw eggs, vanilla flavoringsometimes we'd set out a bowl. sometimes we'd skim off the top with a spatula.[Edited on January 28, 2014 at 5:39 PM. Reason : but down here in Pender Co. we ain't making no cream with this damn freezing rain]

Boil your snow to kill pollutants before consuming.

1/29/2014 3:26:47 PM
HELLOSOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTION
1/30/2014 1:09:09 PM
I think, based off of reading and seeing the pic in this thread, that the consistency is more like ice cream or soft serve. Hence the pun-like name: snow "cream"
1/30/2014 1:11:03 PM
sorry, I didn't realize that pic was of snow cream. in the thumb it looked like cereal
