I'm a fan, she has my vote, but where in the fuck is her campaign? I've not seen a single add or campaign event in these parts, I've seen her features in a single headline in the N&O. Maybe I'm not plugged in, but neither is the average voter that uses name recognition for 90% of down ballot races.

I received a call the other night for a survey, and before the caller really got started I could tell it was political, so I figured wth, I'll bite.

After about 25 minutes of questions, it was painfully obvious that this poll, survey, whatever, was being funded by either Barefoot's campaign or someone for him. After that call, and even before it, I'm def. not a fan, but I haven't heard of any opposition to him.

I realize you guys are talking about a much bigger pond, but it makes me think - besides the general, I haven't really heard or seen much other political advertising on tv, radio, and even the garbage at the intersections seems to have been kept to a minimum this time around. Seems like 2012 was much worse.

Last question of the night - how to stay positive when you want to just turn off the news and tune it all out

The country has been through many eras. The founding revolution, civil war, reconstruction, world wars, civil rights era, cold war, etc. We have so many more advantages than other areas (Shout out to western NC). We need to set and be the example for future generations to look at how our era handled our challenges. If the previous generations of Americans could overcome much greater challenges that they faced to save their country, then surely we can too. See y'all in 2050.
