I rocked that look a lot in middle school. It was very useful. If you're warm or roughhousing or cleaning up a mess, take off the flannel. If your girl is cold, give her the flannel. If you need to smarten up, button up the flannel and maybe tuck it in. Versatile. Your flannel could be a pillow for sleeping in class, you could carry it innocently over the contraband in your hand, you could button it around your forehead upside-down and wear it like ancient Egyptian nemes.
