Weather people often predict the opposite of common sense.

They other day they were calling for inches of snow when it was 40 degrees.

Now they are calling for 6:00 am rain when it is currently 12:15 am and 24 degrees. I don't buy it.

haha everyone hates on geek fishhead. as for the comment about his forecast last night (i havent seen him in a couple years) when he called for a glaze... from what i remember, he would be the first to call snow. i always thought his only real "flaw" was that he always got kinda optimistic about the snow. so i'd imagine that if he thought it was possible he would be calling snow

and what do you know, at least here in greensboro at 6:30am it was definitely fine driving (except on one bridge, exactly what they said. A GLAZE OF ICE)

but i didnt watch the weather last night so it was kinda surprising. which is why i made a thread, cause i get up earlier than most and wanted to warn ppl like me who missed the news.

As I commented in the Lounge's weather thread, it took snow (albeit mixed with rain) for us to finally get above freezing.

I wouldn't say we got Fisheled so much as there just wasn't enough moisture there to do anything. Besides, given the strength of the high pressure system that had been sitting on us, it would have taken several hours of precip just to saturate the air.
