2,000 is like the cheapest they go..... yea my dad is super not thrilled about it but mom already said yes so
4/23/2010 11:43:27 PM
i know!!! that is how much my deb dress cost (about) and i swore to my parents i'd use it as my wedding dressand nowi hate itwhoops its a ballgown so maybe they can useeeee a lot of the fabric from it and make me something else?! lolz.
4/23/2010 11:44:42 PM
oh shit, I didn't have a deb dress cuz um...... i didn't need one and actually they probably could. I like ballgowns though. I had one for prom. it was bright red and gorgeous.
4/23/2010 11:48:16 PM
Do the bride's parents actually still pay for the wedding in most cases now? I know mine sure as hell won't whenever mine happens.
4/23/2010 11:48:24 PM
I doubt they'll pay for everything, but I'm pretty sure my parents have set aside some money to put towards me and my brother's weddings.
4/23/2010 11:50:24 PM
The one I went to this past weekend...pretty sure so. But I definitely don't think it's as much the norm as it used to be.
4/23/2010 11:50:43 PM
my dad said when i'm ready he'd give me a number that would be what i could work with and anything else was up to meyea i THOUGHT i wanted a ballgown but now its just not me. the dress is super pretty but it isn't my style any more. i had a red dress for prom too!!! and lavender my first prom (GAG)i also really love my mom's dress i would just have to see how it looked on me cause it has sleeves. not like a lot of sleeves but i dunno if i'm into sleeves. it would depend on what it looked like. and i know i could alter it but i dunno how i'd feel about snipping her wedding dress. cause if she was here she'd probably murder me.[Edited on April 23, 2010 at 11:53 PM.
