In general stouts and porters. Murphys and Guinness are pretty good for store beers. Hoegarden is also quite tasty. Yuengling if I want to go cheap.

OK, so how about some advice? My favorite (and only) beer is Killian's. I just started drinking it in January, but so far it's the only one I can tolerate. I want to broaden my beerizons, but don't know where to start. Any suggestions of other beers somewhat similar to Killians? BTW: so far I've tried Yuengling, Blue Moon, Sam Adams Boston Lager, Bud select...and they were all pretty gross to me. Couldn't tolerate more than a couple sips.Halp me TDUB.

^^^ Red Oak, if you can find it.I really wish they would bottle it

^^^^ Smithwicks is an irish style lager. guiness is a good dark beer. try Hoegarden, a very tasty lager. corona extra (with a 1/8 slice of lime in it) is also very good. those are some standards. try going to total wine or trader joes and making a custom 6 pack of things you think you might like. try lagers, ales, IPAs, ESBs, stouts, bocks, etc.[Edited on May 14, 2008 at 8:42 AM.
