Not really but I think it would be a really fast girl who could handle and shoot instead of a lebron type girl. even the strongest woman would be weak in the nba so she wouldn't be able to use her strengths.

a girl with elite ball handling and unlimited range though could translate that to the nba game and play as a jj barea type player.

^This would stretch defenses and her speed would also give her the chance to drive and kick when people close out to block her shot or develop a sick floater if nobody helps.

I've seen it in gyms across America. There was a 5'1 girl on my high school team that could not shoot at all but would always dominate ty lawson style against boys high school players because of her speed and handling.

Basketball is not a sport where you have to use brute physicality. Basketball is a finesse and skills sport. Sure, grining inside is important but at the same time, you are not allowed to bump or reach a ball handler. We're not talking about a whole team of women, but 1 woman and 4 men.

This is why a female in the nba will happen. Its not like soccer where you can get pushed off the ball or football which depends solely on speed and power (most positions). The positions that don't have already seen it. We've had a female kicker on a bcs team.

i'm aware that there have been female kickers in college, more than just the chick that played at colorado and got raped by her teammates

i'm sure women could compete with the best of men in things like bowling, billiards, a golf putting contest, etc, but not things like basketball where fully grown men are extremely more athletic than fully grown women

I doubt a female kicker would ever make an NFL roster because I bet they'd have trouble getting the distance on 50 yard field goals, let alone consistent distance on kickoffs, but I don't doubt that a female could certainly make some field goals...though if there was a breakdown in protection, she might die

I don't think you'll ever see a utility 12th "man" shooting specialist though. They'd probably be the worst defensive liability ever and would undoubtedly have most of their shots blocked
